Summertime means park time. Specifically: Drumglass Park time. Or in local streetwise vernacular, "D glazz Parzzle." That's right. It's not a large park but it has all you need to relax: paths to walk on, benches, trees to nod off under, grass to lie on when the pace of upper Lisburn Road life gets too hectic.
Please do not bring a full PA system to amplify your out of tune crooning. For the love of all that is holy, your singing voice is atrocious. You are not Frank Sinatra reincarnated mate!
Why not bring an ice cream from one of the local parlours? Very refreshing. May I recommend the vanilla with a flake? Don't mind if I do.

Read moreNice little park with good facilities. On the day we were there they had a Christmas event on that was free to enjoy - which was great for the kids.
On a normal day there are some areas with some shade and nice wide grassed areas for playing. There are also toilets, and at the top end quite a good playback area. If you just want to have a stroll there is a path which perambulates around the middle...
