Prison Island Belfast — Attraction in Belfast

On the 11th of July, my partner and I completed all 4 activities and they were absolutely lovely. The staff were all so kind and informative, very lovely and we had some good conversations with them - very easy to talk to. To start off we did axe throwing and this was our second time doing this (first at Prison Island) and James made our experience so lovely while still keeping it competitive between us. He showed us a couple of trick shots and hyped us up the whole time - my partner won the trivia setting and I won the last round. Next we decided to do the quiz boxing and he won with a 6 point difference, the game was so unique nothing like we had seen before and it made the experience and the game so much better. Jodie was so sweet and came in to make sure we got pictures of us in the game. Since he won he got the prize and the prize was a £10 voucher for any of the games so we chose to keep the day rolling with the think boxes. They were extremely clever and range in difficulty, out of 12 we completed 4 boxes in the hour if you are to do them don't make our mistake of overthinking them 😂. T made sure that we had everything we needed and even grabbed me a stepping stool so I could see on top properly (short girl problems and all) and made sure that we were smiling through the hour. Lastly we entered the escape rooms that consist of 31 different rooms ranging in technique, teamwork, logic, skill and difficulty. A decent amount of the rooms required a minimum of 3 but are still doable with only 2 players. We played 24 out of the 31 rooms and our score at the end was 699. We came number 14 on the daily rank and it was amazing to have such a variety in one place.

Visited a few weeks ago on a date night to try the axe throwing. Pre-booked the axe throwing and when we arrived we were checked in and asked to wait in the cafe area.

We were greeted by Bethan who introduced herself and brought us and another couple up to the Axe throwing lanes. There were 2 side by side and after a some safety instructions and a demonstration, to ourselves and the couple in the lane next to us, we were off.

REALLY enjoyed this, the backboard has different games (standard targets with points, connect 4 and balloons to name a few) projected on to it and you can change this using the tablet at just outside the throwing area.

Bethan was a brilliant host, really helpful and good craic. She was also taking photos and videos throughout for us and was able to airdrop them over to us at the end.

Booked as part of sister in law's 30th birthday day out. Absolutely loved it. Great welcome from friendly staff. Make up your team names and get your fob and key for storing your bags in a locker. Small information speech in a separate room to go over a basic idea of what the rooms will involve. You get 1 hour to get as much points as you can. For each room you scan you fob outside the door to enter. Each room has a poster outside with a brief idea of what to do and how physical or mental it is. Some of the rooms we had to do a few times as we're a bit unclear at the start. You can check your team's progress on the screens to see what time you have left and how many points you are on. Overall our team loved it. Great fun. Recommend wearing good footwear like trainers as there is some climbing walls. My Dr martens did not help...
