S.A.S.H Christmas Dinner. As a local History group, Shankill Area Social History, we feel it our duty to support local businesses. So this year our group decided to eat at The Foundry. This Cafe/Restaurant is a warm friendly inviting place, you can enter through the side door should you not want to enter by the Spectrum's main entrance. Inside is relaxed, with comfortable seating, & the staff polite & helpful. The food is as good, in fact better, than many of the restaurants within the town centre, & at £16 for a three course meal, I had Home Made Vegetable Soup, with wheaten & good butter, followed by Northern Irish Beef Rib with Champ & Red Wine Gravy, & finished off with Baileys Cheesecake & Fresh Cream, I dont think you can go wrong. Our group, 20 people, who ate/tried basically everything on the Christmas menu all agreed that the standard of food was very high. I, like them, would recommend this place to anyone. Read moreI often visit this cafe and it turned out to be a delightful experience. The cosy atmosphere and great spot to relax and enjoy a good meal.
I'm vegetarian, so I tried their vegetarian breakfast, which was genuinely satisfying. The ingredients were fresh, well-cooked, and nicely presented, A definite highlight was the poached eggs—soft, perfectly cooked, and consistent every time I’ve had them. It’s not easy to get poached eggs just right, but The Foundry nails it effortlessly.
The service was friendly and efficient, adding to the overall positive experience. Whether you're in for a quick bite or a leisurely brunch, The Café is a great choice. I’d highly recommend it to anyone in the area looking for good food in a warm, inviting setting.
Great food, especially the poached eggs, with a cosy...

The cafe helps people with disabilities or health conditions find employment in the hospitality industry, so you know you're helping a good cause. There's plenty of free parking on the...
