A Spiritual Haven in the Heart of Belfast Clonard Monastery is a truly awe-inspiring place that offers peace, reflection, and a deep sense of spiritual comfort. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, whether you're attending Mass, simply visiting, or taking a quiet moment to pray. The priests and community are incredibly kind and make everyone feel at home, regardless of background or belief. Highly recommended for anyone seeking spiritual renewal, historical insight, or simply a moment of peace in a busy world.

I've been here attending the 9 day novena. The Monastery and the Chapel are stunningly beautiful, the flowers were amazing. The service and singing were great. Although it was packed it wasn't stifling hot. I would advise anyone to see this wonderful place and it's for all religions.

A really nice piece of religious architecture that has some harrowing history behind it. This site was well known in the history of the troubles and is an important site to visit when in the area.

As a member of the Clonard Monastery Redemptorist community I wish to point that the address published on Google maps is incorrect.

The correct mailing address and street address is: Clonard Monastery, 1 Clonard Gardens, Belfast BT13 2RL, UK.

The (incorrect) address supplied by Google maps, namely: 17 Waterville Street is in adjoining street and it is a private family dwelling. As a result of the misstatement provided by Google maps this family is receiving mail destined for the monastery and is discommoded by having to bring it to us.

Not only are there problems for the Royal Mail postal delivery personnel but also for those making large deliveries that find themselves at a private dwelling and have then to be redirected from Waterville Street to Clonard Gardens.

So a request to the appropriate department of Google Maps International to please make this correction as soon as is possible.

Google Maps supply a worthwhile service but when its information is incorrect it can add to peoples problems.

Yours faithfully, Br. Anthony McCrave, C.Ss.R. On behalf of...

Very disappointed and feel quite annoyed. I brought my 95 year old Auntie to visit the church, we had a lovely visit and lit some candles etc. My Auntie then wanted to visit the shop to buy some mass cards and make a donation. She is quite frail and dosent have great hearing. We entered the shop and asked the shop assisatant for some help the with mass cards. At that point another member of staff came into the shop and starting talking to the shop assisitant. We had to wait a very long time for them to finish their conversation. My Auntie then wanted to make a donation and when attempting to ask how to do this she was completely ignored by the shop asistant and the other member of staff while they chatted, at this point I had to ask repeatedly for help and they clearly did not like their conversation being disturbed. We left Clonard very unhappy. Clonard has been such a big part of my Aunties life and she felt so let down today. I felt sorry for my poor Auntie who was...
