I have come here for the past 3 years, not as packed as last year, but still had a great time. As the only 2 English people here we were made to feel welcome, the barmaid, if I can still say that, was very friendly and fun to talk to, even if she was orig from Wolverhampton, only joking it was good to meet her , met a lovely couple Dean and Geraldine who made us feel welcome, we sat talking to them for hours, the beer was cheap, where can you get 3 vodka and energy from for £8.50?, entertainment was very good, looked like a mother and daughter good singers and great choice of songs, hopefully be back June next year, one last thing I'd like to mention, if the bloke who asked me outside the bar if he was northern Irish or Irish ever reads this review, I apologise because I forgot to say loyalist w.a.s.p. and Brit, he knows...
Read moreThe Royal Bar is a great little bar, friendly and welcoming, there’s always live music on there too with some great singers including a local guy called Bill McIntyre who has a fantastic voice, he’s a great guy who is very much in demand all over Belfast in the various clubs and bars etc.. you should definitely check him out as he plays all over Belfast throughout the week but especially every weekend. The Royal Bar has a mixture of ages there, Friday nights seem to cater more for the younger ones but there was a mixture of all ages and the atmosphere was great.
