Burger Boi (Longbridge) — Restaurant in Birmingham

I decided to scroll through the reviews to see if anyone had a similar experience to myself. I’m an experienced chef and I’d never do or treat someone the way this place did. First off I ordered two weeks ago and called up to ask for NO CHEESE OR SAUCE on some burgers for my son and I. They put cheese on it and scraped it off, put it back on the bun so my son couldn’t eat it. Today after a very busy day at work we decided to order out again and I put in the notes NO CHEESE NO SAUCE on burgers please. The same thing happened again but this time it was worse I was given the thinnest smashed patty almost like they cooked it, stuck cheese on it and then scraped the cheese and some of the burger meat off it, then put the patty downwards so initially it looks fine when you open the bun. But I always check my son’s food! I have to because of his intolerance. I felt so let down as a chef knowing how easy and how quick it is to cook a smashed patty. I called them up to enquire and they did what others had said passed me along to others, denied putting cheese on it and then tried to say it’s mustard even though I asked for NO SAUCE. I emphasised that they need to take dietary requirements seriously because people can die and these were kids meals so they should think it is probably for a child who is more prone and vulnerable to such things. They said there’s nothing they can do, their chef said he didn’t put cheese on it. He also said he checks the burgers before they leave which could never be true if it was like this. I think it’s just immature kids running the place tbf. The way I was spoke to and the fact they didn’t solve the problem or even ensure me it won’t happen again. I think they need to focus on safety measures and they’re attitudes towards it. So for the future if you have dietary requirements and you decide to order from Burger Boi make sure to collect and check your food...

Some of the worst trash I’ve ever seen - and that was just the owner! Stood at the front, lording it up over the staff and customers. Awful, ugly attitude. I think I caught someone saying his name was Dummy? Which kind of made sense. The food was wayyyy overly greasy, poorly prepped, terribly cooked with really low quality ingredients - and then they charge you through the teeth for it!! Over a tenner for a burger and then it’s pouring with grease - no thank you. The ambience was off, again, purely because the owner had such a horrible attitude and energy it was hard to even be in the building. Really disgusting tbh. 1/5 - if I could score less, I would. I really wish trashy, wish-they-were-American places would stop popping up everywhere. They’re sloppy, over-charging, bad for you, and disgusting! The people that run them - even worse! And again, WAYYY too expensive. Take your money elsewhere people! Oh and they lie about doing breakfast food on their pictures…

Thought ill come to the shop to have a eat in experience, what can I tell you, a gem of a place, dare I say it, the best burgers we have had in a long time.Burgers were full of flavour, juicy and cooked perfectly. Mrs had the bird boi with extra patty, the chicken was perfectly cooked, juicy. Looked like a proper burger. Mrs really enjoyed it, Son had the mac and cheese as its his favourite at home, again the cheese sause is beautiful, nice creamy texture, sauses on the mac daddy compliments the mac so well and was well presented. Daughter had a hatching boi, she said and I qoute " the best chicken burger ever"! Really juicey piece of chicken well seasoned. I had a Korean with extra patty. What can I say about this, oh my the Korean is so full of flavour, can taste the freshness, full of flavour. Just perfect. Overall food was well presented, tasted 10/10. Shop was well presented with plenty of room inside. The atmosphere was nice with music in the background. Was a nice vibe. A shoutout to kitchen staff, who were all excellent quick and efficient, a keen eye for detail.
