I've been holding off leaving a review for a while. Simla used to be great! Unfortunately, it's slowly been getting worse. The food quality has gone down (don't know whether they are cutting back on ingredients to save money) but their curries are either: lacking flavour, ridiculous hot for a curry that's not supposed to be that hot, or sickly sweet to compensate for lack of flavour? . Every curry we have had now for the past couple of months has been dissapointing. They have even been cutting back on how much dip and onion salad you get, and now they've actually made their pots smaller.
Its a shame. We used to look forward to curry night. We've even tried ordering different curries but they haven't been up to scratch. We're going to start looking for another Indian now.
Whatever it is they have done or changed, they really need to change it back because its just not good. Its alright. 😔

Read moreThe upsetting thing is the food is amazing however this is an appalling lack of customer service. I ordered at 18:21 I was then given a 20:10 delivery time. That is not a problem if the restaurant is busy fair enough. However 20:10 comes and goes. At 20:15 when I phone I get an engaged line and attempt phoning every 5 mins: engaged line no answer, engaged line no answer. When I drive to the shop at 20:50 40 minutes after my delivery window. I wait in a queue and explain the situation. They argue the problem is with Just Eat's unreasonable delivery periods?!? (They only had nearly 2 hours to make and deliver a meal for two). I ask why I received no phone call, no update, nothing. Not even as much as an apology offered, no offer of a discount. Or we'll take some money off next time. Read moreFor a few years now I’ve experienced good service from this restaurant and really enjoyed the food and spent a lot of money with Simla, but last few months the service as fallen, each week I order a takeaway and they say a time for collection and it’s always late, and don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind waiting 10-20 minutes but when you order 1hour before, then you arrive to collect and you wait another 40 minutes as well to witness the kitchen staff being broken up from a fight by a delivery guy & reception staff turning away customers because of the waiting time.
So when my food finally arrived, I said to the reception man, sorry don’t know his name, he always where’s tight long sleeve tops, it’s pretty shocking really, His reply was if you don’t ! Like it ! Go to other restaurants as he pointed me out of the door ! Very badly managed !
So Unfortunately i won’t be spending my money with this company...
