Came in with my wife for a drink and explained to the manager on shift (Tuesday the 18th of Feb, 11am) that I had a nut allergy. I've been to plenty of Costa's before and this has never been an issue, it's just standard practice to make the staff aware and so they can confirm that the drink I'm looking to order doesn't contain nuts
The manager seemed immediately annoyed and insisted on reading out entire allergy policy, not something I've experienced before but fair enough
She then asked me if I'd like my server to - wash their hands, clean the equipment and clean the cups... Allergy or not I'm pretty sure the staff should be doing all of that anyway. When I said yes she huffed and started piling the items that would need be washed in front of me while yelling to seemingly no one in particular that "these need to be cleaned" before saying "actually, this one is fine" and putting a cup back. She then went and got a member of her team and told him to clean the equipment she had piled up and wash his hands in a very rude manner. I felt sorry for him

   Read moreOrdered an iced latte caramel today and asked for a straw so I could use it to stir and drink whilst I was walking. But was told the lid has a hole and I don't need a straw. That was fine as I was thinking they probably ran out. But as I was leaving I spotted most customers were given a straw to drink with their iced drinks. After walking with the drink for about 5 minutes the milk was still settled at the bottom and the coffee and caramel was on the top. Tried to shake, bit was not possible as the lid was leaking too. It had to be binned! Just poor service offered by the owner (Franchise I believe). Which should know better trying to save a paper straw. Should had stirred it...
   Read moreI have always enjoyed visiting Costa Coffee and have been a loyal customer for years. However, my recent experience at this branch was far below the standards I have come to expect. I was seated in the café for about five hours, busy with my online work, when one of the staff members, Bonnie, approached me. She asked me to either buy another drink or leave the café. Additionally, she told me not to move from one chair to another. I was shocked and embarrassed by her tone as she behaved in a rude and very unprofessional manner. That incident made me feel extremely unwelcome. I hope this feedback helps them to improve...
