Tuesday 24th June Here to see Sutton Coldfield youth do Everyone's Talking about Jamie and once again they did not disappoint. A tremendous performance by this very talented group. There northern accents were pretty good 👍 and everyone gave 110%. This is one of my favourite shows and to see an am dram do such brilliant performance was amazing. We will be going to see them perform Wizard of Oz which I am sure will be very good. Once again we have to thank all the staff for making us feel welcome as always . There is a car park across from the venue plus there is street parking.
Wednesday 21st February Les Miserables by Sutton Coldfield youth am dram was more than sensational it was EPIC . The whole group were outstanding. The audience were captivated and I was brought to tears by the emotional displays by these fine actors . There families must be very proud. l for one am very sure that British actors are a force to be reconned with after seeing this performance and that the arts are in safe hands despite Birminghams lack of vision and support The town hall is excellent plenty of leg room and helpful staff There is a bar with drinks and snacks at reasonable prices. Plenty of parking space to be had so get off your bums and...
Read moreHad a function here for my nans 90th birthday. Overall the venue is lovely, however I believe there was room for improvement. Firstly the whole road was closed due to road works which they failed to inform us. You can imagine how difficult this was for the dj, catering etc. There was a member of staff who seemed so grumpy, after bringing us an extra table he had spilt a drink, accidents happen but not even an apology. My last issue was that when some of our family were doing speeches all i could here was the kitchen staff or back room staff talking , shouting, and just making so much noise, i had to get up and close the staff door. I feel overall the effort from staff was minimal , insensitive and seemed like no one really wanted to be there. Could have easily made the time more enjoyable, sadly...
Read moreWas so disappointed at last nights Northern (do I love you) show. Town Hall kept the bar open all through the performance and we had a constant flow of people traffic getting up to get drinks, some people going several times in the first set. It was so off putting. Never been to a show or performance any where else where the bar was kept open. It was disruptive. I felt sorry for the Group who were very good. We walked out at the break with quite a few other people who felt the same.
Mon 4th July…. Sutton Town Hall, thank you for replying. I did drop the Group a note on FB about the drinking and disruption. They said you guys wouldn’t see my review unless I posted direct to you, which I did. I got the impression from their comments it was the Town Hall’s decision to keep...
