Delicious, healthy, non-greasy food at an affordable price and reliable.
The interior of the shop offers limited space for standing, having the capacity of roughly 4-5 adults (at a squeeze), within the ordering/waiting area.
The shop is operating as a takeaway only shop, there is no seating within or outside of the restaurant.
There is a dedicated oven for potatos/baguettes as well as a panini press, and their preperation of salads is excellent.
I do not believe they offer lettuce and or their salad is primarily vegetable based i.e bell peppers, sweetcorn and an emphasis on onions.
The men behind the counter were proficent hard workers with a humble yet dedicated approach to their craft.
Both men and women are treated equally here, people are served based upon who has entered and placed their order first, women feel safe and respect and the men who entered seemed to get along with the shopkeepers; excellent customer service.
The strong communal spirit/respect as well as consistent clientel is a testament to the quality of this restaurant, a hidden gem worth making a detour for.
I entered at two seperate occassions, once at lunch rush and once in the morning, to get an idea of the workings of the shop.
It is best visited in the morning, towards lunch rush, and this is understandable, order accuracy drops (i.e requests such as no onions is not fulfilled where as at breakfast it is).
The typical price range for any given item, can be expected to be at around £3-4, at the time of my writing this review, Friday, 18 Aug, 2023.
I purposefully went during a friday to see whether it would still operate during this time and it does, and on other ocassions/holiday and it also operates.
This restaurant is a solid corner stone in the local area that can be relied upon for fairly healthy AND delicious options at any day, and most hours.
There is also a local corner shop just across the road offering even more options for drinks/snacks to accompany your meal.
The jacket potato comes with a strong plastic fork and wrapped in foil for thermal reasons.
The meals here are, well, filling.
Quality is consistent across all dishes.
The shop is located within close distance of several key spots, including but not limited to the local girl school, a Masjid (mosque), a children kick boxing gym and the denbigh play-area and basketball court.
It is located on what seems to be a residential street, the traffic of the road can be somewhat precarious as cars often dart down quickly, and I have noted a mother beckoning her child back into the store as to avoid the road.
The shop keepers were speaking in Pashtu primarily, which is fine as I understand it, and it gave me family vibes; I only spoke with them in English and they seem to have a strong comprehension of what I said, they were able to tackle most-all orders and their math was on point as I was consistently given the correct change; even when I handed them confusing sums of money.
They have a card reader, should you wish to pay by card.
The hot sauce makes the meals here imo, try...

▪︎The shop is tucked away on a small side street, which makes it a bit hard to find, and parking can be a challenge, but the effort is absolutely worth it!
▪︎The shop isn’t wheelchair accessible, so keep that in mind if mobility is a concern.
▪︎There is no space to dine in (like there used to be), as they had to remove the tables and chairs due to a large increase in customers
Despite the minor inconveniences, the quality of the food, the friendly and humorous staff members, make it a standout choice for a takeaway.
If you're in the area and craving something delicious, Fillings is a hidden gem that will satisfy your taste buds and keep you coming back for more. Just be prepared for a little adventure in finding it, and don't forget to plan your parking...
