King prawn gochujang bowl and a wild salmon & kimchi gochujang bowl.
The establishment was virtually empty on entry at 1pm. Staff greeted us warmly with broad smiles and our order was taken at the counter - we were seated almost immediately. The staff and service gets a 9/10
The restaurant was extremely clean and tidy and my quick browse of behind the counter and prep area showed that these guys take hygiene very seriously. The cleanliness and hygiene gets 9.5/10
The food arrived within 15 minutes of our order and it was presented really well. The bowls were bursting with vibrant colours causing instant salivation 😋 The portion size was decent and definitely value for money. Portion size & Presentation gets 8.5/10
The king prawn gochujang: as soon as I put the first fork full in my mouth, it released a burst of delicious flavours not to mention the irresistible spice. The rice, spinach, carrots, beetroot, peppers, avocado, korean kimchi, lime, coriander, spring onions, sesame seeds and freshly chopped chilli all worked in complete harmony and yielded a mouth party with each helping. The spices were sensational and the chilli, jeju, avocado and spicy peanut sauces married so perfectly with this dish. The king prawns were cooked to perfection, not too soft and not too tough and the taste was simply sumptuous. I thoroughly enjoyed this meal and my mouth is still salivating thinking of it. This gets a straight 9.8/10
The salmon gochujang had all the condiments of the king prawn gochujang and it too was sensational. This dish also gave an instant sensational burst of spice and flavours when it entered the place of no escape. I honestly enjoyed every mouthful and did not want it to end 😋 The salmon was definitely premium quality and it too was cooked to perfection. This too scores very highly 9.8/10.
I have no affiliation with this restaurant and it was my first time here! I was truly satisfied and will most definitely be returning to try their chicken dishes!
The food sheikh highly highly highly recommends this fine establishment!

Read moreMe and my best friend go here regularly as we love the food and the service necessarily is not the best. However last night was just disgusting with the service, I was really hungry and was really excited to have the meal at this place. The staff kept saying we close at 8.30 even when we ordered the food which we got there at 7.30 and thats fine. They took 30 minutes to prepare the food and brought it to us and by the time everything was ready to be eaten it was 8:10 which at 8.30 i was not even half way through my meal and the waitress which i dont know her name but i am sure you can check who worked last night on the rota came up to me and my bestfriend in middle of our food, LITERALLY IN THE MIDDLE and said guys we closed now, can you leave!!!!!!! LIKE ARE YOU SERIOUS! I have worked in food industry before and as far as I am concerned, we always wait for the food to finish then we clean after the guest leave?!!!!!!! She literally said i can pack your food up for you!! I was too shocked to speak and this is so disgusting, i never care about the service as long as the food is good but my god that was just the most disgusting thing anyone could do to a paying customer?! Who is literally in the middle of eating her food? She then packed my food as more than half of it was left and then touched my coke and was like bin? And i said no then she asked us to pass the cutlery to her????????? Like WHAT? The whole point of this review is to have a conversation with your staff and let them know you literally cannot kick a paying customer out just because you want to go home at bang on 8.30 ? This industry is all about customer service?!
Very disgusted with this and not...
Read moreI hate to say but very very disappointed. I used to go to Grounded Kitchen every day in Leicester on King Street when I was there for work. That place was 10/10. This expansion hasn't worked in my opinion - the quality has disappeared.
I ordered chickpea shichimi which has changed from what it used to be. It now comes with very dry chickpeas (instead of with a sauce like it used to) and in the usual bowl surrounded by vegetables. You're now basically getting the sweet potato and edamame bowl but dry chickpeas instead. Not happy.
The vegetables - not at all balanced, mountains of beetroot and less of everything else? They were probably running low of some things to adjusted ratios. Really bad. Also puddle of what can only be described as vegetable water a the bottom of the bowl. Rice was cold.
Topping sauces - I remember ordering in Leicester and the toppings sauces were really generous and helped bring the bowls to life. This time in Moseley I literally could not even taste or see them. Whats with that? Where are the sauces?
In the end I had a heap of rice covered in soggy vegetables with dry chickpeas. A real shame given I know what they are capable of. Also no more choice of brown rice available?
I can see what the owner has done - streamline and standardise menu offerings which will help the business to scale and expand in new locations. More simplicity = easier to replicate. Unfortunately it hasn't worked. I miss the quality at Kings Street. This was a huge disappointment. GK you have...
