Walked in on a nice hot summer evening, bifold doors were open wide and the dining area was cool.
Staff very friendly, confirmed with them that the food was halal, they also confirmed that they stopped serving alcohol in June 2024.
We ordered Bread which came with a chilli sauce, small pot of black and white olives and also a minty creamy dip.
We also ordered Hummous to accompany our bread. The bread was very tasty and I think we couldn't help ourselves but fill up on that.
Then we ordered 'Chips' (We received steak chips) hmmm I've had better, these tasted a bit chalky for me.
'Sarma Chicken Beyti' This was a nice dish, a bit too much cream I thought, was served with basmati rice and bulgar rice and generous salad. Portion was good although I couldn't finish it. The individual kebab pieces were wrapped in kind of pastry and the whole dish was tasty but I could only have so much because my stomach was full 😋
'Seabass (levrek)', a whole seabass split into two pieces served with salad and sautéed veg. The sautéed veg was very salty, what's going on here eh?. The Seabass was cooked well and tasted nice too. Salad on both dishes were excellent, they had a good mix and presentation of salad was pleasing to the eye, see pictures.
In the end we had no more space for anything else so had to skip dessert and tea / coffee.
We had only two drinks : sparkling water and cranberry juice.
All came to 62 quid for two people.
Would I visit again, yes I would but definetely on a empty stomach. Would avoid the chips and avoid the dishes containing cream. Meats, pastry, salad and fish was good.
Staff were very nice so credit to them for their hospitality.
Extra finishing touches to enhance customer experience could include complimentary rice pudding, complimentary Turkish delight sweet, complimentary tea like other Turkish establishments...
Read moreFrom the moment you enter Turknazz in Moseley you are received with a smile and graciously presented with your seating options; me and my friend were lucky and got the best table upstairs with a view of Moseley high street and the view of St. Mary's Row with The Fighting Cocks clock tower too. This is my second visit in person although I often order takeaway from here!
You are never felt rushed to order which gives you a moment to catch up with your friend or partner or family or whomever you choose to take there and appreciate the exquisite lamps and ambient atmosphere. Everywhere you look there is something pleasurable to look at. All staff who wait on the tables are well presented and pleasant and you always get a warm feeling that they genuinely want you to have a pleasant experience even before you have ordered or the food has arrived!
You are generously presented with a tasty bread that I do not know how to replicate, but I swore to myself one day I will! Also, delicious olives and a creamy sauce and a hot sauce, all of which are supremely fresh and tasty with the bread.
Whatever you order, it will be a generous portion and freshly made. There is a great range of vegetarian options, if in doubt go for the halloumi wrap! I was impressed with my huge Caesar salad so beautifully presented and had me rolling out of there like Miss Santa Claus. This business is authentically hospitable and a sophisticated, relaxed atmosphere to eat in. A gem in Moseley, or rather a rose quartz; as it will naturally soothe you with a hearty meal and space to connect with your loved ones. You know your appetite will be taken care of here! Highly recommend for friends, couples...

Location ♡ Turknazz is locted in moesley, very easy to get to by car and public transport . There is parking outside on street but on the weekend could possibly be limited.
Food♡ I ordered mocktails | lemonade & strawberry .
We had fresh bread , dips ( yoghurt | turkish chilli dip ) and olives to start with whilst waiting for our main . The chilli dip was my favorite because you can tell it was fresh and i love the kick of flavour it had .
For our main we had a grill platter for 2 that came with a verity of different meats & two different types of rice.
I have eaten at a lot of turkish resturants, today i can say turknazz is in my top 5 & let me tell you why. First ive never been keen on any chicken adana but turknazz has changed my mind .. it was fresh , full of flavour and not DRY ! The lamb ribs actually had enough meat on it and i wasnt just sucking the bones for flavor ! The chicken wings was seasoned to the high heavens & it was moist. Lamb chunks arent chewy & adana kebab had my heart 🩷
Do i have to say anything about turkish rice , I mean its best .. need i say more ?
Atmosphere ♡ The resturant is quite spacious with more seating upstairs, the decor is subtle but modern and the turkish mosaic chandeliers gives it that elegant feel . I do wish that the lights are a tad more dim as i think it could gives the restaurant a really nice feel to the Atmosphere .
Service ♡ I can fault the service as everything came in a good amount of time , friendly staff and nice...
