Sunday I met up with some old friends and I convinced them to see what the Dark Horse had to offer food wise. I had seen some really good reviews in th past for Brúm Mì and really wanted to try it. We were told they weren't taking walking for Sunday lunch, just the normal menu, however after speaking to Charlie, at the food counter he said he could manage to do me one. I have an onion intolerance and therefor went with the corn fed chicken supreme. I am so glad I convince everyone to come as the chicken was beautifully cooked and full of rich flavour. The dinner came with veg roast carrot and potatoes and a gorgeous freshly made Yorkshire pudding, which was the best I'd tasted in a long time! Infact this was the best roast dinner I'd outside of my own kitchen for a very long time. I have been a chef for many years and am extremely hard to please. Beautiful! Ate the lot. My friends had the normal menu and everyone agreed the food was delicious.I found the price very reasonable and pretty cheap vomited.to other Sunday lunches on offer in the area and definitely superior. Well done guys! Thankyou so much. Highly recommended, book ya table for dinner! Not...
Read moreNew menu mainly featuring burgers and a couple of hot dogs. Food was freshly made and tasty. Very nice staff also. Went there to try out Brum Mi and the food was very tasty. Loved the hearty portion size and the high quality ingredients. Both the pork and the beef were succulent and even the pickled veggies were nom. We were also pleasantly surprised by the cauliflower bites coated in a sticky sweet sauce. As a die hard salt and pepper tofu lover, these cauliflower bites would give the beloved tofu a run for its money. The staff were super friendly and attentive. The only downside was that we were driving so couldn’t sample the broad selection of beer there. We definitely would be returning and look forward to having a couple of...
Read moreGreat food and a half decent selection of beers and ciders. Have a regularly changing (small) list of craft beers from local and national breweries. This place really comes into their own with their meat. Ribs, burgers, brisket, chicken wings, pork belly - all amazing quality at a reasonable price. Do sharing platters for those that want to pick (or for one who wants to gorge) which, whilst expensive, are worth it for the amount of food on offer. They do offer pizzas which, whilst they taste good, are nothing in comparison to their meat selection. Atmosphere always decent with good music, however I do find you can be a little cramped at times during their busy periods. Well...
