Hen K.O! Peri peri chicken &pizza — Restaurant in Birmingham

We have always ordered from Hen Ko and never had a problem, however this evening we called up to place an order for collection and as my partner was ordering the food he was interrupted, told that he was banned and the guy on the end of the phone hung up. We have never had an issue or complaint with or from this shop before and the ban must have been a mistake. I then called from a different number and asked for an explanation to which I was told “I don’t know what to tell you, you’re banned for life” I asked what the ban was for and the man I spoke to said he didn’t know just that we were banned. He was extremely rude and dismissive which came as a complete shock as we have never had anything but good experiences previously. He then decided that he would allow us to place an order “if we wanted a pizza that badly” however after a minute or so I decided I wasn’t comfortable ordering from such an establishment. I was then told not to call ever again and hung up on. We still do not know what this “ban” is regarding, just that we were refused. Absolutely disgusting customer service, considering the error was on their end....

Ordered from here on a whim and because they are so close to my place - ordered a feta, spinach and added salami, also got chicken mini fillets,and fries. Food arrived quickly, piping hot and delivery driver was friendly and efficient!

The pizza here is SO GOOD! I am always bummed out when I order pizza and it's a doughy bland mess. I'm used to living in America with really good quality pizza, and I normally can't stand most UK pizza takeaways. The pizza crust and sauce here is so tasty!! It's actually my favourite now! They have a really good selection of toppings and sauces like real proper bacon, ham and meatballs. Sauces are varied like garlic and herb or Jack daniels sauce!

The sides came still crispy and not soggy at ALL! Chicken was delicious. The fries are more like fries than chip shop style chips but you get large portions of fries for your money and they are good!

If you order on their website it's slightly cheaper than just eat or hungry house 😋

Awful, I've ordered multiple times before but will never order again after this experience. I ordered for home delivery and after an hour of waiting I phoned the shop and was told it had left with the driver already, I didn't receive the order for another 25 minutes after that! So if waiting 1 hour and 25 minutes wasn't bad enough the cheese burger I had ordered was just vile, went in the bin unfortunately because the smell and look of it was awful, it looked like it had been cooked last year then reheated! It was so tough and dry. So I phoned the shop to put in a complaint about the wait time and awful burger, the staff that I spoke to (a girl and the 'manager') were very rude and did not apologise once, instead told me I'm wrong because everyone likes their beef so I mustn't be telling the truth. The 'manager' insisted the beef was freshly cooked, but I've worked as a grill chef cooking fresh beef, that was not fresh. Very disappointed, will no longer be...
