Assalamualaikum, I am writing to formally express my disappointment with my recent visit to your Hall Green branch. As a regular customer of Mak Halal, I have always appreciated the quality of food and service your brand stands for. However, my experience on 01/01/2025 fell far below the standards I have come to expect.
Upon arrival, I noticed that the staff member present was busy preparing a delivery order. Once this was completed, instead of addressing me as the waiting customer, he engaged in a conversation with a neighboring shop owner, seemingly about unrelated matters. Despite my patience, when another customer (of what appeared to be the same ethnicity as the staff member) entered, I was once again overlooked. I eventually had to ask if he was willing to take my order, and only then did he do so.
Furthermore, when my order was served—a £10.99 double smash burger—it was handed to me on a tray without any wrapping or proper food presentation. To my dismay, I observed other customers being served their burgers neatly wrapped. When I raised this concern with the manager, his response was dismissive, stating that “some burgers may come without wrapping.” While this may be acceptable in certain cases, the lack of proper presentation and care left me dissatisfied, especially given the premium price I paid.
This experience has deeply disappointed me. It not only felt unprofessional but also gave the impression of preferential treatment based on ethnicity, which is completely unacceptable.
I respectfully urge you to: Train your staff on proper customer service, ensuring all customers are treated equally and with respect. Standardize food presentation to maintain consistency across all branches. Reinforce the importance of preserving Mak Halal’s brand reputation by promoting fairness and professionalism.

A year ago: I usually have deliveries from here on Deliveroo and their food and service is great. Sadly though, the last few times of trying to order from here, I haven't been able to as it says it's closed and opens at 00:00. Have you changed your opening times?
Update: it was great to have you back on Deliveroo; I felt very happy when I first saw you back on there. However, although I am still somewhat relieved you are back on there; the excitement has died down a bit as the last 3 occasions I have ordered from you, the only times I have ordered from you on your return to Deliveroo, there has been an incorrect item in the order each time.. the first twice I was sent a can of Ice Strawberry drink instead of a can of Rubicon mango, and the third occasion I was sent a tuna panini instead of a tub of healthy tuna salad, one of the drinks and the salad which I was refunded for. I also need to mention, as it was something i didn't mention to Deliveroo, that I noticed the cling film covering the lid of my frappe had been tampered with on arrival, near to the hole where the straw goes, and in an attempt to cover it back up, it was a thinner piece of cling film in that one spot than the rest of it, and there was a dent in the lid, whether this was done at your shop or by the Deliveroo driver I am unsure, but I thought I should mention it anyway.. I did, however, decide to put my trust in the Creator and drink the frappe anyway and risk it, to save it from going to waste. Other than these things mentioned I would recommend your service, and I would definitely prefer it over McDonalds, as your company is more compassionate. Definitely would avoid, family got raw chicken in there burger i ordered for them, Ordered food from mak halal hall green to take home today, as I was fasting and had around 20 minutes before my fast opened so went home, got home and a family member was eating there burger the burger was tough so I told them to showed it to me and i noticed it was raw, phoned them up and told then its raw at 1st they didn't believe me and told me everything is made my a machine and definitely not raw..., if anything it might just be a blood vain in the chicken that make it looks like it might be raw... after telling them, i can see water coming out it and and can see the pink in it, any1 who has ever had a chicken burger in there life knows it be's white from inside not pink... and was told to bring the burger back in store and then after that they will replace it for me , bearing in mind I just opened my fast and wanted me to come back to the shop which is like 20 minutes from where I live, I told them to get some1 to drop off a replacement and I'll give your driver the raw, was told we don't have drives to drop of food , even though you can order food of there wedsite so the guy on the phone insisted I come in to get a replacement burger and bring in the original one with me ... if they sent out a replacement I would have forgotten all about it and not left a review but as they made a raw burger and it was there fualt as I never made the food but they wanted me to drive back to get food that my family got put off on as it was raw, please let me know if they think this burger is raw in the picture, will definitely notbe...
