Read moreKept coming to this place and always finding it closed. Today I was fortunate enough to get there early and just before the rush came in which was a few minutes after I arrived. Everything looked great and the smells were amazing. My friend an I ordered the food and were lucky enough to find a few seats free. We sat down and oh my god, the rush was so content the atmosphere was off the charts and it was just, rush, rush, rush! People in and out, the hectic but structured order delivery, it was like I was in another country.
Once the food arrived it was absolutely, Amazing! There's no other way to describe it, and in the short time my friend and I were there we must have seen about 50 orders go out and we were not there for long as this is the type of place you eat and move along. But whilst you're there, you will absolutely love the vibe, the food and the service.
The food was absolutely amazing, the lamb shawarma, has to be the best I've had, no fat was in my plate (not a fan of fat loaded shawarmas), tasted great from start to end.
We got a lamb shawarma wrap, 2x Wala Platter (mix shawarma, 3 falafels, fries, naan and salad) and a Fatayer (pizza styled dish with just lamb and cheese, no sauce) see pictures, the falafel are made fresh in front of you, super tasty and packing good flavour. Everything was so good. But the even better thing was their prices, you can feed a family and not break the bank at all.
They do take card and they are always rushed. They close around 7:30/8pm, but I now understand why. Poor chefs must be constantly putting out orders non stop.
Card payments: yes Toilets: don't believe there are but the shop was so rammed, couldn't confirm. Disabled access: I don't believe there is but they do have outdoor seating (weather dependent I guess).
Would I return? No doubt whatsoever, Yes,...
Read moreOrdered £7 shawarma on a tray at the small heath branch. I'm coeliac so can't eat bread. The young guy with glasses served me my food. He gave me ONLY literally all of the scraps at the bottom of the turntable which were barely warm. Everyone else got a fresh serving and they weren't even closing, i was wearing joggers and maybe he thought she'll be ok with scraps. I said i want the fresh stuff he looked at it and ignored me. I said it again and his other colleagues looked at him, still he didnt add more so i could have a warm meal. He asked if I wanted salad and I said just the red cabbage but he decided to add the rest. I then said can I have more red cabbage (it would've probably cost them another 10p if that) he ignores me , turned around and got bread as if he didn't care. I said no bread as im coeliac, he carried on, i said no bread again, another guy said no bread? I said no (again) even though my order was bread free. Absolutely poor customer service. Older guy who took order was ok. Will not be going back again. The food was barely warm and not that great , there was a lot of fat, by the time i got home i saw chunks of fat (see white bit in pic) and they were too stingy with the sides. It's one thing to get the meal and not complain but to actually make a complaint that's ignored thats the worst customer service ever. I should have refused the food. I only recommend this place if you want a stingy man to ignore your requests and give you...
