Our experience started as 5 stars with a warm welcome and great food! We then order an extra dish (chilli chicken) because we enjoyed our first lot of food. This however wasn’t very great and tasted like fried chicken that had been sitting for a while tossed in ketchup and peppers. After going back and fourth with the waitress who offered a refund and then back tracked we asked to speak to her manager who was the rudest, stuck and most self cantered person I’ve ever come across. With no understanding of customer service or just general communication. Utterly embarrassing and a disgrace to the restaurant. After compromising and shoving a menu at us and stomping off we order a replacement dish, which we waited 45 minutes for. We then went to the kitchen, all the cooks looked at us knowing there’s an issue, then the chef tells us all the fryers off and he can’t make it, because they’d been told not to make food for us, in hope we’d wait give up and leave. The chef said he would give us 2 desserts instead (which is what is comprised and asked the manager to give us- in which he shouted in our face and said 1 dish only, despite 2 desserts being the value of 1 dish). The attitude of this manger is the worse I have ever experienced and for such a successful restaurant it was and absolute joke to cause such a fuss over £10. No point going around shaking hands with people around the restaurant when you have no understanding for true customer service. I hope he feels ashamed of the way he spoke to us, what an embarrassment. Such a shame as general service was great as well as first lot of food. You need to do better, and...

The Mix Grill King is dead. Long live the King. The Royal Oak! Me and my wife came here for the first time after a recommendation by my son. Although we arrived 90mins after our table booking the staff were good enough to find us a table. The atmosphere was buzzing & friendly, full of families coming together & friends coming to watch the football. It was extremely busy but the staff still managed to take my order & get our large order out to us in 15 mins. We had the medium grill which was amazing, all well cooked succulent meat full of flavour & not dried out like other grills. (Lamb chops were 100% Swaad!!) We also had the butter chicken (beautiful) fish curry (beautiful) Crispy masala chips with a soft fluffy inside, lovely buttery naan & fluffy jeera rice. We also ordered the lamb curry on the bone which again was VERY TASTY but it could have done with more pieces on the bone. NEVER lose your passion & continue to offer fantastic food at a fair price. Thank you to the chef whose name I think was Manoj, thank you to the owner Amrik (it was nice to meet you brother) & a BIG thank you to all the staff for a wonderful swadesh evening. I hope you enjoyed the tip. See you again very soon 🙏🏽 👌🏽

This place is brilliant, me and the wife travel around looking for the best mix grills to eat, we came across this place because the wife loves sidhu. The place itself was really clean and tidy, staff were brilliant they don’t keep running back to you every 2 mins asking if things are ok, the bar and kitchen are 2 separate business by the look of it, and you don’t start a tab here you pay as you order so for example if you get drinks you need to pay straight away when you order food you pay straight away which is a good setup but not if your planning on splitting the bill you will need to start money kitty. No waiters come to you when you want to order you need to goto the kitchen area and place your order then the servers will come and drop the food to your table. We ordered a mix grill and naan, the mix grill was really nice no chicken breast tho just thighs, am more of a breast person however the thighs were well cooked and tasted really nice, they were a bit tight with the lamb kababs 2 little bits only with the medium mix grill, the naan was really nice soft and fluffy. We will definitely be coming here again to try other foods on the menu.
