Read moreFirst time at wagamamas. When we were seated , no menus were given so we had to take them ourselves from the front desk after waiting at the table for about 10 minutes. The waitress took our order, we ordered kimchi , Japanese pickles , tea stained egg , two ramens , one with steak and rich broth and the other was chicken gyoza - spicy. We also ordered drinks that didnt arrive until about half an hour in. We got our extras before the drinks came which is not ideal considering kimchi was spicy and we could do with a drink at this point. Drinks that we ordered - g+t , wine and ice tea - ice tea never arrived , the waitress didnt even put it in the order , my g+t glass was very sticky and drink had too much rose petals that just kept staying in the mouth. When we received our ramens - both were wrong. When we approached the waiteess and said these are not what we ordered she huffed and puffed , rolled her eyes and said she will get them changed. Still, my new ramen had literally no spice in, tasted like veggie water. I can honestly make better broth at home. My partner had a steak ramen which also tasted of nothing. A lot of greens but zero taste. Noodles were getting were soggy and sticky very quickly. Not sure if the chain is saving on ingredients but the food was lacking any taste , spices and seasoning. Gyozas tasted very plain and somewhat like they werent cooked enough. We noticed also that other people also got wrong orders or were waiting ages for their drinks. Staff seemed like they were tired / not wanting to be there except for one girl who sat us down, she was very nice. We are very disappointed considering recommendations of people to go to wagamamas and think this will be our first and last time. This feels like we wasted money and honestly i felt like we could’ve just gone to Five Guys next door , at least there would be some taste in the food. Very disappointing from...
Read moreI do believe life is about the experiences that bring joy and inspiration at the same time. Dinning at this restaurant definitely inspired me and brought me joy. My wife, best friend, and i went here for an evening meal to celebrate a gather up. Before we even came I already knew what I would like to have as my main course. It was a Chilli Chicken Ramen , and for some time, I really wanted to learn how to make it myself. I kindly asked Tim, who was our waiter, to share the recipe with me. He did his absolutely best, came back and explained the ingredients as well as the process of making. After some time, he got me a piece of paper, which included the whole process and measurements written down by the Head Chef Adam. I felt honoured and appreciated. Honestly, it would be more than enough for me, but the ramen I have been served was made by The Head Chef himself. Work of art on the bowl with absolutely stupendous taste. After we had eaten our food, I was gifted a Wagamama's Cook Book from the hands of Adam. This was an extraordinary service that I had never experienced before. In addition to it, I would like to mention that I have spent more than half of the decade in hospitality, and it takes something special to impress me. Overall, I'd like to say I felt like a guest of honour, and I can say this restaurant will be my restaurant of choice.
I would like to thank to the whole Wagamama Team for making it special, but most importantly, thank you, Tim and Adam. I'm looking forward to meeting you soon.
