The Crown — Restaurant in Bolton

I have always been a strong supporter of The Crown Pub over the years. The Pub landlady and her husband are so lovely and welcoming, the lovely Bar Maid with dark hair bob is bubbly and can't do enough for you. She gets your orders for food without hesitation and tweeks your order to cater to your needs. Her communication with the Chef are spot on and your foods infront of you in no time. The latest visit was very disappointing the older bar woman with blonde and several colours in her hair has a very bad attitude, she knew we came as a table of 4 but preceeded not to communicate with Chef to let her know we were all together hence my friends food came out first and we waited 90 minutes for our food. The Pub was not busy. The food wasent good. That sort of service and bad attitude will not wash with your customers and they will not visit again. I will not be visiting again. The Landlady her husband and the dark haired young lady with bobbed hair are absolutely treasures. Been curious about the place for a while and finally decided to give it a go. On a first visit everything was really nice,place proved to be as charming inside as I thought it would be looking from outside. I've just visited a second time. When I asked for the taste of a particular beer the member of staff behind the bar looked particularly exhausted to be interacting with a customer & upon ordering beers when I went back to make an order for food she seemed to take a step back as if not wanting to even hear me out. Needless to say will not be coming back, I know you said you didn't have your glasses on today but I don't think not treating a customer like a chore has anything to do with eyesight. Wouldn't recommend getting food from there would say better off stay away from that place.. ordered cheeseburger meat fine until the after taste of off mince beef felt sick afterwards. My misses ordered chicken with mushroom sauce and side peas the chicken was probably older than me and it was slimy when I've tried it and it tasted like rotten chicken and the peas could off been used for bullets to stop the riots not sure how they even served it without second toughts 🤢🤢🤢 left before desert came as were scared to even try that.. plus, on top of that, the food was left in the fridge and only warmed up with the whole plate as the plate was hotter than the food...
