Situated opposite Asda in Astley Bridge, a large restaurant that can seat large groups. Mainly traditional dishes with only a couple labled with paneer or vegetables most dishes are made with meat and a small section with fish. Maybe they'll substitute other meat dishes for paneer but I would prefer them to state this on the menu. Everything is served in traditional bowls. Lovely friendly staff. When we went, on a Tuesday evening, it was very quiet so it lacked atmosphere, but I'm pretty sure it would be better on a busy Friday/Saturday evening. All the food was good but I've eaten better at other restaurants in the area.

It is the second week in a row I’ve been in the area and there was no doubt I would return here after my first visit last week. I’m a curry fan… the spicier the better! This place was just a whole other experience to the other places I have ate locally. The staff are fantastic and make you feel welcome, they are exceptional. The food is amazing, even for a guy who loves spice (they accommodate!). All I can say is thank you and see you again soon! ধন্যবাদ

Professional staff, service was great, Food ; mediocre, to this day I've never been served pilau rice with green food coloring!! WTF Do they use green rice in India? I seriously doubt it so why was I given green rice! The place was a little small and five of us were shoehorned into a corner. The food was mediocre, nothing special, the lamb was actually a bit tough.

Rather disappointing meal last night on our anniversary, been coming for years here but for me standards are dropping poppadoms were small and broken, the plates had only just been collected when the mains were brought out, it's nice to be asked if we are ready for mains I like hot spicy naga curries and clearly it hadn't been made as I specifically asked.... hence the meals were rushed so sent the meal back, our table hadn't been made properly as there were no napkins, my wife's meal had been rushed and had just 4 king prawns, when my meal came back it was better but certainly not up to scratch and not what I would expect. The lamb was tough and the chicken rather soggy, and still had tomatoes which I asked not to put in, clearly staff are not listening when taking orders and some don't seem to have any idea what they are doing, there seems to be a constant turnover of new staff, don't get me wrong Santos is a nice guy, polite and courteous and does his best to make sure your meal is right but overall the standard and quality of the food is dropping we had a similar issue earlier in the year and didn't come in for quite a while but it seems things are going very lax and the prices are going even higher despite the temporary discount I am well aware the cost of everything is going up but the price of a curry takeaway for 2 is near the 30 quid mark nearly double that if eating in we have spent a lot of money in the restaurant over the years birthdays, Xmas, anniversary and so on,but based on our visit the other night we are considering not coming again. I know not everyone will agree with this posting ok, we all have our opinions, but, at the end of the day we earn our money and spend it, this crititique is not meant in any way to be scathing or nasty, but we are just being honest, and if people don't say anything when not happy nothing would ever get resolved. Sorry pavilion very disappointed and...

I recently visited this restaurant and, unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience from start to finish.

To begin with, the service was far from welcoming. The staff displayed a noticeably rude and unfriendly attitude, especially towards Indian customers. It was disheartening to see how differently they behaved with British patrons — warm smiles and attentive service — compared to the curt and dismissive tone used with us.

I had ordered garlic naan, and what I received was burnt and clearly overcooked. When I politely asked for a replacement, instead of correcting the issue, the waiter simply returned with the same naan, now hastily polished with butter, expecting it to pass off as fresh. The lack of professionalism and basic courtesy was shocking.

As for the food quality and quantity, both were underwhelming. The dishes lacked flavor, and the portions were quite small for the price charged.

Overall, it felt like hospitality was missing, and there was a clear bias in customer treatment. I do not recommend this place and certainly won’t...

So sad. Really disappointed in the pavilion. I rang (at 9.30pm) to ask what time last orders for dine-in food would be and was told 10pm. So walked down from the Tap in Astley Bridge and was met by 2 guys hoovering. I asked for a table and was told take away only. I explained I'd rung specifically to check last orders less than an hour ago (and we'd arrived just before 9.50pm). One of the men then said well it had better be a quick meal and literally threw a menu at me! I said wow there's no need to react like that and was told he wanted to go home. Needless to say, my dad and I walked straight out after I asked the guy his name (hud? Huz?). I then rang the achari in town who said no problem, come down. The Pavilion and Achari are both favourites of mine but I will never set foot in the pavilion again. Tragic but I've never known a reaction quite like the one tonight. If I'd called in off-spec then fair enough, but I'd actually rung up to check and timed our arrival appropriately. Dad's birthday too......
