Virtually empty when we called on a Saturday afternoon. Therefore, service was good but no atmosphere. Sat outside on the decking as it was a sunny day, pity it's overlooking a busy road junction. It's been done up recently and changed its name from the Seven Starts. Painted navy blue inside with fake beams. Pool table and darts board in separate rooms. It'll probably be ok on a busy night.

Wherever possible we as a family try to support local businesses. We decided to give The Plough a try for Sunday's early evening meal. Having checked that the pub was dog friendly we ventured on down. We were not disappointed. The welcome we received upon arrival was very friendly and at once put us at ease in a hostelry I had not visited for about 30 years. The food was comparatively very reasonably priced and most enjoyable. The menu offered something for each of us; even the fussiest eaters among the party. The other locals present were very friendly creating a comfortable social environment. Well done to Kirsty and your team. Good luck...

Manageress Kirsty has just taken over the Licence after managing it since it changed it's name. The interior looks much better - lighter and welcoming. As a retired Home Economist, I can highly recommend the food. Every meal I have had has been excellent and have had Sunday lunch a few times. If you are hunting for decent wine at a decent price, hunt no more. White wine spot on and not at a silly price and no rabbits were injured!! (or opened). I love sitting on the patio by the main road, doing the crossword and watching the world go by. Seating area at the back for those not...

This is a pub with a lot of potential waiting to be realised and I predict that it will become an important part of the community. We ate yesterday and the food is truly delicious! I had the cheese and onion pie and it was the best I've ever had. The other meals coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic, will definitely have a roast dinner next week. If you're local, please give this pub a...
