Wherever possible we as a family try to support local businesses. We decided to give The Plough a try for Sunday's early evening meal. Having checked that the pub was dog friendly we ventured on down. We were not disappointed. The welcome we received upon arrival was very friendly and at once put us at ease in a hostelry I had not visited for about 30 years. The food was comparatively very reasonably priced and most enjoyable. The menu offered something for each of us; even the fussiest eaters among the party. As a retired Home Economist, I can highly recommend the food. Every meal I have had has been excellent and have had Sunday lunch a few times. If you are hunting for decent wine at a decent price, hunt no more. White wine spot on and not at a silly price and no rabbits were injured!! (or opened).
