The Village Cafe Bistro — Restaurant in Bolton

We went this morning for the first time and it’s safe to say we weren’t disappointed. The young lad who served us was polite and knowledgeable, and got us our drinks almost straight away. They make a lovely brew and the breakfast was even better. I swapped my black pudding for bacon on the breakfast, and my partner had the large breakfast as it was. We got a choice of chopped or fresh tomato and white or brown bread, as well as sauces, salt and pepper already on the table. They were both gorgeous and great value for money, we will definitely be coming back....

We got the omelette with cheese and mushrooms and it was amazing and the mushrooms were plenty and clearly fresh and perfected to a t. We got the Eggs Benedict without bacon (and they deducted £1 from the price which I appreciate) but it wasn’t really my cup of tea I felt like the hollandaise sauce was thick and wasn’t delicious and the English muffin was a little soggy. Coffee is below mediocre to be honest and the hot chocolate is quite sweet. Service was amazing though they always check up on you. 15-20 minute wait for food...

Not visited for a while due to Covid. I was really impressed by all the work done on the interior and the staff were very responsible to be safe. I had the small breakfast and it was 1st class.
