Okay so Horwich Fest go in for lunch. Order a tuna melt ‘toasty’ and full fat coke. Bring a Diet Coke then go and get the Coke giving it with a red hot glass I assume just out the dishwasher! Wait a while and receive a tuna/cheese seeded baguette sandwich, came with a cold slaw side salad and crisps. I said I ordered a toasty and get told this is it, I say no this is not and showed the young lady the menu that clearly says ‘tuna melt toasty’. Takes it away and while later brings me the saddest looking ‘toasty’ ever! Barely toasted thin bread with a scrapping of tuna and cheese, with green leaves on the side! Not even with the side salad and crisps! The time before this when I have been got cheese and bacon potato skins with one tiny piece of bacon in one skin and then said not going again. Wish I hadn’t! £10 for this sad effort of a ‘toasty’. My mum ordered a half sandwich and soup. Both brought twenty mins apart! We won’t be back! Edit- Janice you haven’t read my review properly! To add no paper towels in the loo, and sticky tables. I think the best seller on the day was not the tuna cheese non toasty as a seeded non toasted baguette does not equate to a ‘tuna melt toasty’ but bacon and sausage butties were the best sellers on the day seeing as when we came in we were told there was no bacon or sausages left to offer! Unfortunately incompetence and awful sub standard food does not warrant a good review!

A nice little cafe at the top of Winter Hey Lane, Horwich. Quite bohemian in style with wooden parquet floors, miss matched chairs, cuttery in tin cans and chalk boards offering specials etc. Food was OK, nothing special, thought I did order a halloumi wrap and was surprised when it came grilled, I was expecting it to be cold, but hadn't realised it was listed under the hot part of the menu. It came with plenty of salad leaves and coleslaw. There was a number of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options available 😀 My friend had a feta cheese and cous cous salad with added avocado which she said was lovely. I'd like to try the vegetarian breakfast sometime.

Came to Thyme for my birthday lunch with my work colleagues, so there was 16 of us! We preordered our food and drinks (which they were very patient with as there were a few messages back and forth!) and when we arrived everything came out on time, and lovely and fresh. Everyone left very full and happy. The food was delicious, the service was flawless, and the staff were so polite and friendly. Nothing could be faulted. They also brought me a slice of cake as a birthday treat! Which was such a lovely gesture. I would highly recommend this cosy little place, 10/10!

We came here for lunch and were quite disappointed. The waitress was vauge and didn't know what was going on with the menu. They didn't loads of things that were on the menu. No quiche, ham, turkey, jacket potatoes or soup and that's the only ones we asked about, and the waitress didn't know whether they sold decaf tea or not. We ordered our meals and I asked for my cheese sandwich to be toasted and the waitress had to go and check if they could do that and then never came back to let me know. The meals turned up with half of it missing. They served my parents their sandwiches and only told them then there was no mushroom soup... And my toastie was not toasted. We gave up and just ate it but they could have at least offered our drinks for free for the trouble. We heard the couple on the table next to us having problems as well when they couldn't order what they wanted and considered going somewhere else for lunch. We won't be returning here. It's a shame because there is nothing wrong with the...

First visit and last, food okay, nice selection on afternoon tea, service not the best asked for extra cutlery for the table told by owner/ manager she had put out enough for one each had to maje do with my fork which i had used for prawns to eat my quiche and cake with, was served a pea and ham soup in small cup (part of the platter) too thick to drink and no spoon given. The tea pot ran out and my daughter only got a third of a cup asked for it to be topped up was told she had done enough for everyone and to ask the other table if they had any spare! Asked for a box pack my leftovers in was asked what i wanted it for, was given a paper bag at first i had to explain i had cake to put in , the lady gave me one and a glare to go with it, i realise cost of things wouldnt have minded a small charge for box, so wont return on the basis of above, never been anywhere when you are refused extra cutlery and hot water, i wasnt the only one in the group who experienced this...
