My family of 14 visited the cafe on Friday morning for breakfast. One of our children (age 4) had some food on the table off his plate and the manager came up, picked up his food with her hands and placed it back on his plate exclaiming “you can’t do that, it’s just manners”.
We were shocked at how rude this was, and unhygienic for her to put her hands on his food but we decided to give her the benefit of the doubt as we know people have bad days HOWEVER, we return with a smaller party of our family again for breakfast this morning (Saturday).
My wife was feeding our 14 week old and our other two children (7 and 4 years) were sitting on the floor at the table playing quietly between themselves with their toy as we waited for our food to arrive. This same woman came up and shouted at them to “get up off the floor, people are trying to have their breakfast!” - the entire place could hear everything and we were again shocked and embarrassed. We decided this is not family-friendly so said we would leave and she went on to say we couldn’t.
When we went to walk out she told our 4 year old to put down his half finished apple juice because he hadn’t paid for it…
Absolutely shocking. Made us feel embarrassed and unwelcome. Would have understood if our children were running around and being noisy. She could have just asked us (the parents) to place our children on the seats - she had no right to shout at them, least of all for many other spectators to witness.
Also, we had been waiting a while for our food also so it’s to be expected that the children would get bored and want to play with their toys anyway.
Considering we spent as much on Friday despite her bad attitude, and to return again to give the benefit of the doubt, I found her to be unwelcoming and rude.

Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting a charming dog-friendly café in St. Annes, and it turned out to be a truly pawsome experience. The café not only catered to humans but also warmly welcomed our four-legged friends, creating a delightful atmosphere for both owners and their furry companions.
Upon entering the café, I was immediately struck by its inviting ambiance. The space was thoughtfully designed with and a cozy, relaxed vibe. What truly set this café apart, however, was the care and attention given to the canine guests. The staff members were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making sure that every dog felt comfortable and welcome.
It was heartwarming to see the joy on their faces as they interacted with other dogs and received affection from their owners and staff. My dog Skye was spoiled with a sausage 🐶❤️ The staff also offered water bowls for dogs throughout the café, ensuring that our furry friends remained hydrated at all times.
The overall atmosphere of the café was filled with positivity and happiness. It was evident that this place had become a community hub for dog lovers, with like-minded individuals connecting over their shared love for their pets. It was heartening to witness the interactions between dogs and their owners, as well as the warm...
