Have visited before but some restrictions were still in place due to COVID. Enjoyed our meal then but left no review. But we did said we would try again someday. You can park very close by. There is an M&S store with a small car park just down from Seafarers. Probably struggle to get a space at certain times but we were there on a Thursday at around five o'clock. First hour is free but two hours is £2.00. Carol, our waitress noticed I was struggling a bit to get comfy at the table we had first been directed to so sorted us out with a more accessible one. There are also tables and chairs outside should you wish to dine in the sunshine We ordered one regular special, £10.95, and one extra large special, £12.95. That's fish, chips, slice of bread and butter and a drink. Tea, coffee or a can of pop. You also get mushy peas but we were offered the option to change this to beans, curry sauce or gravy. We stuck with the peas. As you can see from the picture the extra large is a large fish. It was freshly cooked and I really enjoyed it. One of the best fried fish I have had in a long time. Chips also very good but a small criticism is that there were a lot of scraps in it. The peas were really tasty as well. You can certainly tell the difference getting fish and chips in a proper chippy rather than as a pub meal. Service was friendly. We were asked if we wanted dessert but we were both full from our special. Would recommend and will use again if visiting St Anne's.

Called in here and awarded 4 stars because it was freshly cooked, piping hot, the staff were friendly and efficient, and I'm sure most people will love it. Everyone likes different things, so some will find it great. For my own taste, I had a couple of reservations, but it's a personal thing. The first thing was the thickness of the chips. They certainly were not the thin fries that sometimes get called chips, and they were a regular size some people will like. Personally, I prefer more 'chunky' sized chips, not least because you get more chips and fewer scraps. The second thing were the peas. There was nothing wrong with the peas themselves, but they were served in a separate dish as seems to have become the 'norm' during the last ten years or so. Personally, if I'm having peas, I like them on my plate. If they come in a separate dish, the first thing I do is tip them out onto my plate. I saw a TV chef recently say peas and beans are served in separate dishes these days so customers can dip their chips or bread into them. Personally, I've never had any problem dipping chips into them when they are on the plate. Like I said, it's a personal taste. Many will love things just the way they were served.

When visiting Lytham St Annes we used Google maps to find a chip shop away from the main pier area which was very busy at the time. Seafarers was a short walk away with good reviews so we gave it a go. We arrived around four in the afternoon, so before the main teatime rush and service was quick although it seemed like the staff were doing us a bit of a favour by selling us sausage and chips. Maybe the chap was having a bad day as he wasn't particularly friendly or cheery. The usual chip shop menu was available and the pricing seemed about average, especially for a popular seaside resort and we paid close to ten pounds for two portions of jumbo sausage and chips which came with plastic forks. I'm always a little disappointed when takeaways are still using polystyrene when there are much more eco-friendly alternatives out there. The food itself was hot and the sausages were tasty enough but the chips were more mixed in quality. I enjoy a nice juicy grease-covered chip, and there were some like this but there were also a lot of thinner crispier chips. It's down to personal preference but should I find myself looking for a chip shop in the area again I would probably try somewhere else.

Nestled in the charming seaside town of Lytham St Anne's, Seafarers is a hidden gem that promises an unparalleled dining experience for lovers of traditional British cuisine. From the moment you step foot into this quaint chippy, you're greeted with warm lovely staff, the aroma of freshly fried fish and the promise of a meal to remember.

The undisputed star of the menu at Seafarers was my specially made double-fried fish. Each succulent fillet boasts a perfectly crispy coating that gives way to tender, flaky fish within. Paired with their exceptional chips, which are hand-cut and expertly fried to golden perfection, it's a match made in seafood heaven.

But the delights at Seafarers don't end with their fish and chips. My partner opted for the pie, and it was a decision we certainly didn't regret. The pastry excellent, providing the ideal complement to the rich, flavorful filling within. And let's not forget about the gravy – silky smooth and bursting with savory goodness, it elevated the pie to new heights of culinary delight. Even the peas, often an afterthought at many establishments, were a pleasant surprise – fresh, vibrant, and bursting with flavor.

In summary, our dining experience at Seafarers was nothing short of exceptional. From the incredible double-fried fish to the excellent chips and delicious pie, every dish was executed with precision and care. If you find yourself craving the best fish and chips in Lytham St Anne's – or perhaps the best pie you've had in ages – look no further than Seafarers. You won't be...

We were stopping locally, and saw the Seafarers Restaurant as ideal for some traditional seaside fish and chips. We were nowhere near disappointed. Quite the opposite.

On arrival, we were warmly welcomed, made to feel very comfortable and presented with menus for food and drink.

Drinks were delivered very quickly and our variety of orders from fish and chips to hot dogs, spam fritters and even haggis and black pudding were soon taken and quickly delivered too, piping hot and well presented along with a plentiful selection of sauces.

Nothing was too much trouble. Very friendly staff, good fun and chatty and what a great and varied menu! No one should be left without a choice here.

The menu also includes Angus and chicken burgers and so very much more. You can even get beers and lagers with your meal as well as soft drinks, tea and coffee etc.

Portions sizes are amazing and such value for money. We would have loved to indulge in a dessert - hot or cold - there were some great and very tempting options but we just couldn't manage them. We were full and fit to burst.

A great little business and one to be proud of. We will be back!

I would very much recommend the restaurant (there is a takeaway too) whether staying locally or passing through. There is plenty of parking nearby too and not too expensive - outside M&S is actually free for an hour and not a lot for a couple of hours or...
