Thai Food & Spice — Restaurant in Borough of Pendle

I hate leaving poor reviews especially for a local business but our takeaway last night really wasn't great at all, the panang curry was completely white in colour , basically a tiny amount of chicken in coconut milk and no paste, it was really strange, I asked for it to be spicy but it was like they forgot to add anything to the chicken and coconut milk and it had zero flavour, the noodles were OK,in the mixed starters the satay chicken was really over cooked, the rice was alright, I'm hoping I was unlucky and these guys just had a really bad night and maybe will try again in a few months, the service was very friendly and it was cooked fast so very little waiting, I wish I'd taken a photo of the curry as it looked nothing like a Thai main meal, very bland, really wet, no colour...

Consistency is key with any restaurant or takeaway and this little Thai lacks that.

Ordered the same items we order on each visit to find that this time the way it was prepared in a completely different. When we explained this was not what we ordered we was told that this was how it was now made if you want it how it was originally done then that’s fine but they will charge you for both dishes.

Refusing to pay twice for a dish we declined to eat the food served however it was still charged for.

Numerous people complaining at the same time and the 2 Thai ladies are not at all bothered they just chat away speaking in Thai and ignoring what customers are telling them

I would recommend everyone gives it a miss unless you wish to leave...

Excellent Thai meal best we have had outside of Thailand. Not a "restaurant" but a takeaway that had the option of eating-in. Soft drinks on sale but just take your own alcoholic drinks with you...corkage charges apply I think. Only visiting the area for the weekend but so pleased we found this little gem. Need to replicate this set-up in our home town in East...
