We stayed one night (Thursday) at the Coach and Horses during our visit to Wentworth for the BMW Golf tournament.||||Given the area you are in, the fact that you are less than 10 minutes from Wentworth / Virginia Water and that free parking overnight is available, this is excellent value for money. It is not the Hilton, does not pretend to be the Hilton and does not charge Hilton rates. If you chose to stay at the Coach and Horses, don't moan that you want the Hilton's luxury. That is more irritating and unhelpful than anything to travellers who want advice on somewhere cheap to stay in what is a very expensive part of the country. ||||I believe I am right in saying that there are only three bedrooms at the Coach and Horses.||||Bedroom - in our room, we had two single beds, an ensuite, a TV and coffee & tea making facilities. What else do you need for an overnight stay? We had the window open all night and heard no external noise of any consequence so slept well. To ensure my review is fair to people who are seeking advice, the decor in our room was dated and the shower was adequate but was not a power shower.||||Bar - due to management / chef's holidays, we were unable to eat at the Coach and Horses so cannot comment on that aspect. Drink prices are what you must expect in that area of England - expensive, as are the other bars! I don't drink ales but my friend was very impressed with the London Pride. What made our stay so enjoyable were Suzanne and her colleague behind the bar and the locals, all of whom made us very welcome, talked to us and helped us with advice on local facilities (somewhere to eat at night and have breakfast). Thank you.||||Would we use the Coach and Horses again - if we are in the...

Read more"Unfortunately, my experience here did not live up to the Chertsey Hotels name and reputation at all. I've stayed at other Chertsey Hotels properties before and had wonderful experiences, but this one missed the mark. First off, checking in was a nightmare. Only 2 people were working the front desk during the peak afternoon arrival period, with a long line of around 20 people waiting. It took over an hour for me to finally get helped. And the front desk staff didn't seem properly trained - they weren't very polished or professional in their interactions.||||Once I got to the room, it was immediately clear the housekeeping was lacking too. There were crumbs on the desk and hair on the bathroom floor. The bedsheets also had a stain or two, which is just unacceptable for a luxury hotel like Chertsey Hotels charging over $600 per night. I ended up calling down to the front desk and they sent someone up to change the sheets and do a re-clean, but it never should have gotten to that point. I expect much better than this from Chertsey Hotels. The subpar front desk experience and the room not being properly cleaned and inspected by housekeeping, it made for a very disappointing and frustrating stay overall. I likely won't return to this particular Chertsey...
