Sheppertons 4 Thurlstone offer you a delightful 6 course gastronomic experience 🙏🙏

4 Thurleston is a restaurant located in Shepperton that offers a delightful gastronomic experience through its six-course taster menu. As a lover of exquisite cuisine, my expectations were high, and this restaurant did not disappoint.

The journey started with the Goat Cheese Tian, accompanied by mushrooms, roasted peppers, pesto, and aubergine. The combination of the creamy goat cheese and homemade pesto creates a tantalizing explosion of flavours. This dish sets the tone for the rest of the culinary experience, leaving the taste buds longing for more.

Moving on to the second course, the Wild Mushroom Risotto with Iranian saffron, free-range chicken, lemon thyme, and shaved Parmesan offers a perfect balance of flavours. The earthiness of the wild mushrooms is complemented by the subtle hints of lemon thyme and Iranian saffron. This dish leaves the mouth watering, creating a sense of anticipation for the upcoming courses.

The third course presents a Pan-Fried Red Mullet served with San Marzano tomatoes, samphire, and salad verde. The delicately cooked Red Mullet sits atop a refreshing salsa verde and samphire. The combination of these ingredients results in a well-blended assortment of flavours that are subtle yet harmonious. The presentation of the dish adds to the overall experience, demonstrating the restaurant's attention to detail.

The fourth course consists of Pan-Fried Sea Bream fillet accompanied by new potatoes, samphire, braised fennel, Romesco sauce, and blanched green beans. While the fish itself is cooked to perfection, the presentation in a bowl may be a personal drawback for some diners. However, the standout feature of this dish is undoubtedly the outstanding Romesco sauce. The blanched green beans offer a fresh crunch that complements the fish beautifully. The only critique would be the desire for a larger portion of the delectable Romesco sauce.

The fifth course, Pan-Fried Herefordshire Sirloin steak with potato gratin, spinach, Birolo sauce, chanterelle mushrooms, and a reduced veal jus, is impeccably presented. The addition of pouring the jus at the table adds a touch of elegance. The potato gratin is cooked to perfection, and although the beef may have been slightly overdone for my preference, the overall dish is a delightful combination of rich tasting flavours that simple work harmoniously.

To conclude the evening, the Passion Fruit and Strawberry Cheesecake is delicately presented, reflecting the care and attention given to each dish. The creamy texture of the cheesecake, combined with a flavourful biscuit base and a citrus jus, creates a mouthwatering experience. The addition of a raspberry atop the cheesecake is the perfect finishing touch to this delightful dessert.

Overall, 4 Thurleston delivers an exquisite gastronomic experience. Each course exhibits a careful selection of ingredients and a meticulous preparation method. The presentation of each dish reflects the restaurant's commitment to providing a memorable dining experience. While there may be minor personal preferences or critiques about certain aspects, the overall quality of the food, presentation, and flavors surpass expectations. For those seeking a memorable culinary journey, 4 Thurleston is a restaurant that is definitely...

I came here for a late breakfast today after checking The reviews and it seemingly being a good option for the area.

However I can't in good faith leave a good review as the entire experience was very sub par. The food was a total let down and the service leaves a lot to be desired.

I ordered 2 lattes and two English breakfasts which came in at £32 which is pretty pricey considering how poor the food was.

The English breakfasts - Beans - lukewarm and watery, seemingly the cheapest can the supplier has to offer and hardly cooked at all. Mushroom - very wet and oily, with no discernable flavour, like they are roasted plain and left in the water / oil Bacon - clearly pre cooked in an oven, served cold and hard like it was barely warmed to order and void of the fatty salty flavour that is bacon. Half grilled tomato - guess what, cold Single solitary hash brown - cold and barely cooked, like it was kissed in the fryer oil. Toast - cheapest granary bread the shops have to offer and not buttered even Eggs - 2 fried, fine but unseasoned however served on a single slice of the above mentioned cheap bread, again unbuttered and not even toasted? I don't really understand why you would choose to serve it like this, who wants eggs on plain cheap granary bread?? Sausage - hot crispy and delicious

The service was dreadful, one guy and one girl behind the counter, we weren't sat at a a table, we weren't suggested to order at the bar, in fact we were completely ignored by the staff until I went to the bar to order after 5 or so minutes. The gentleman taking my order than interrupted me halfway through to walk off and serve some customers sitting out front. There was no check back on the food by either staff and little to no words spoken by either except the lady who asked if we would like pepper on our breakfast.

The coffee was the only redeeming feature and it was very enjoyable and well made.

I conclusion, this place has very poor service, highly subpar food and seem to use the cheapest available ingredients and condiments (a cheap branded selection of sachets and the same branded small squares of butter for you to butter your cold and cheap granary bread) they clearly don't employ good chefs and are peddling overpriced poorly cooked food. The atmosphere was lovely however very fashion over function it seems.

The worst and most overpriced "full English" i have had the displeasure of eating.

Last week, I had the pleasure of dining at 4 Thurlestone, a charming restaurant that left a lasting impression with its delightful tapas offerings. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere that set the stage for an exceptional dining experience.

The selection of tapas at 4 Thurlestone was simply outstanding. Each dish was meticulously crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients and bursting with flavor. From classic Spanish favorites to innovative twists on traditional recipes, every bite was a culinary delight that showcased the skill and creativity of the chef.

One standout dish was the patatas bravas, perfectly crispy potatoes smothered in a rich and tangy tomato sauce, topped with a creamy aioli that added a luxurious touch. Another highlight was the grilled octopus, tender and succulent, with a smoky char that added depth to its delicate flavor profile.

In addition to the delectable food, the service at 4 Thurlestone was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. They provided excellent recommendations, expertly guiding us through the menu and ensuring that each dish was paired perfectly with wine. The ambiance of the restaurant was also noteworthy, with its cozy yet stylish decor and intimate seating arrangements creating the perfect backdrop for a memorable evening. Whether enjoying a romantic dinner for two or gathering with friends for a lively celebration, 4 Thurlestone provided the ideal setting for any occasion.

Overall, my experience at 4 Thurlestone exceeded all expectations. From the exquisite tapas to the impeccable service and inviting atmosphere, every aspect of the dining experience was top-notch. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough and look forward to returning soon to indulge in more of their...

We tried this place based on the good reviews but perhaps we came on an off day. When we arrived we weren’t greeted by anyone so we went & sat inside with our small dog & my husband went to order at the counter. About 10 minutes later we were approached & told that no dogs were allowed inside, only outside. It was quite a chilly day so this wasn’t ideal. We ordered 2 English breakfasts & the lovely lady behind the till clearly wrote on the order slip that 1 was with poached egg & 1 was scrambled eggs. We received our orders both with fried eggs. My husband decided to just eat his but I asked for scrambled so they took it away & basically chopped up the fried egg which I didn’t land up eating. The pork sausages were so hard & dry we struggled to even cut them, clearly made early in the morning & kept warm. The mushroom looked great but tasted of old absorbed oil, think it had also been cooked early & left in a warmer. The mocha however was really delicious & came with a fresh wafer straw which was a lovely touch. Overall based on our first visit we wouldn’t be rushing back any time soon.
