Table for two, our order was taken by a girl with about as much charm and grace as a deep sea fisherman. My wifes burger order was completely wrong and we explained this to the server, had to repeat it three or four times while she was pretty much laughing at us. Then she offered to bring over a hash brown and some onion rings seperately as they were missing from the burger. No, we'll have one made again properly thank you, we're paying enough for it. She said it would be 5 minutes. 15 minutes later i had finished eating and still no replacement burger. We then spent a few minutes trying to get our server to understand that we want to talk to a manager, 5 minutes later the manager arrived, stumbling over her words and almost getting somewhat aggressive when she realised there was no rectifying this. You're supposed to eat together at a restaurant, if you can't provide that for the money your charging then you've failed, miserably. She then attempted to illicit some kind of guilt response from us by informing us that the server was out back crying, as if that's relevant to us as paying customers. I would say thats the managers fault for hiring such inexperienced and badly trained staff, we were very calm with our server and certainly were nowhere near as aggressive with her as the manager was with us. The whole experience just reeked of a lack of care, attention, or ability to deal with even the slightest problem. You're lucky we aren't secret diners working for Harvester cos someone would probably be out of a job. I don't expect a reply here because frankly there's nothing that can be done to get us back in a harvester ever again and its only positive reviews that anyone has the guts to give a...
Read moreI had an extremely disappointing experience at this Harvester. I visited using a Groupon voucher, which they clearly accept, but from the moment I arrived, I was met with rudeness and unwelcoming service from our waitress, Hazel. She immediately questioned whether they still accepted vouchers, even though they do, making me feel uncomfortable right away.
When it came to ordering, she was purposely slow and dismissive. Every time I picked something from the menu, she claimed there was an issue and had to “check,” leaving me waiting unnecessarily for long periods. This happened multiple times, making the experience frustrating and unpleasant. It genuinely felt like I was being singled out unfairly, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that it was due to racial bias.
To make matters worse, when the food finally arrived, the chicken was pink and undercooked (see attached photos). This is completely unacceptable and a serious health risk. On top of that, the beer I ordered was completely flat, which just added to the poor quality of the meal.
Then, when it came to paying, Hazel shouted about my voucher across the restaurant, making it feel like she was purposely trying to embarrass me in front of other diners. It was unnecessary and humiliating, adding to an already awful experience.
Overall, this was a terrible dining experience. The service was rude and unwelcoming, the food was unsafe to eat, and the drinks were poor quality. I will never return to this location and will be avoiding Harvester as a franchise based on this experience. I do not recommend this...
Read moreWe came today for my mums birthday to which we were left very disappointed. We were told particular items on the menu weren't available due to the fryers not working. The Pepsi refill also was down. Only to further discover that the salad bar had most items missing, only 4 things were available. I ordered an apple juice which was only 2/3s full in the glass. Once we had finished our meal, we waited a good 20 minutes for our table to be cleared. Our main plates were taken by a different waiter who instead of returning to our table to collect our 'salad' bowls decided to chat with the people at the table behind us. We were even given dessert menus only because we asked for them, which were given to us before our main plates were taken away. When it came to dessert, they once again didn't have the one I wanted to order so I had to choose another option. We felt we were forgotten about whilst others seemed to be attended to. It was a real shame as previously mentioned, it was my mums birthday and we usually love visiting the harvester. But this time we were left feeling very disappointed by the staff, service and availability of food. The first waiter told us that the lack of food was due to a busy weekend. As a restaurant you would expect to be able to walk in without so many gaps in the menu's. The restaurant was far from busy at the time of our visit so there was no excuse for such a lack of assistance to our table. We seriously hesitate to return to this location if the experience was anything like...
