Thai Go — Restaurant in Borough of Spelthorne

The frankly worst experience I have EVER had with food delivery in London or ANYWHERE ELSE.

Uber accepted the order at 6:15 for 6:50-7:10 delivery.

At 6:50 it was noted to be out for delivery. Please note that I am 10 minutes away from the restaurant.

At 7:10, Uber prompted me (repeatedly, about 20-30 times) to ask the restaurant for an automated update. They never provided one.

Uber prompted me to call the restaurant as they were using their "own delivery staff". I called them.

3 times.

An international cell call from my USA cell.

It rang more than 20 times each time.

NO one ever answered.

I spent the next half an hour scouring the Uber app for some way to contact someone. I went up against the "call the restaurant, your order is almost there, it's out for delivery" lies many times before I was able to use the chat.

That guy repeated the platitudes until I told him no one answers the call. He tried.

He tried more than twice.

And then, MORE THAN AN HOUR AFTER THE FOOD WAS SUPPOSED TO ARRIVE. he just canceled the order and that was that. No consideration other than they won't give me a penalty for canceling.

THEY WOULD NOT GIVE ME A PENALTY FOR CANCELING.

But they sure will let this nest of thieves masquerading as a restaurant stay on this app.

OMGOSH!!! Where has this place been?? It was awesome! Best Thai food we have had since we left Thailand 5 years ago. We ordered from JustEat so we had to reach the £50 minimum - but given how good the food was this was a win. We had the 2 types of springrolls, Por Pai Pak & Por Pai Kai - and preferred the veggie ones, Por Pai Pak, over the chicken Por Pai Kai. We had the chicken satay and the peanut sauce was yummy. We had the Tom Kha Soup - such great flavor. The Beef Salad (Neua Num Tok) - was a good blend of spicy & fresh. We got the Pad Thai Noodles, Fried Bean Curd - the flavor was good but next time we will get shrimp or chicken. (The bean curd did not travel well to the house.) And finally, we got Massaman Curry, Prawn. Totally awesome! This is going to become a regular place for us....

Ordered our meal tonight at 7.30, the website said it would arrive at 8.35 it is now 9.10 still no food. Currently trying to phone (have been trying to phone for over 10 mins) to find out what time our food will arrive or if it's on its way and only getting a busy line. Very hungry feeling robbed and can't even rate food as it hasn't shown up yet. Very disappointed! Update on food. Delivery driver has phoned at 9.20 to confirm our house number. Can't see delivery driver on our road. The food is almost an hour late. Very unhappy with lack of food/service/ability to get through to the restaurant.
