Favorite Chicken & Ribs Sheerness — Restaurant in Borough of Swale

Very disappointed with them, after being a weekly telephone home delivery customer for over 3 years, I called and called tonight as usual to place my order- normally above £17 each time I order. But the phone just rang and rang, never being picked up from 1800-2015 hrs. I thought there must be a problem so went to another chicken shop (Peri Peri Chicken), after leaving them I had to pass Favorite Chicken. On passing them I noticed that they were open, so stopped to let them know that their phones weren’t working. When I told them this, I was informed that there wasn’t anything wrong with their phones but they were busy so didn’t bother to answer the phone. To be honest I was totally taken aback by the honesty of these two women who by the way were sitting out where customers normally sit! Anyway I am pleased to say that I would never have found out how good Peri Peri Chicken food was nor how much bigger their menu is. So to end off- I WILL NEVER BOTHER TO PHONE FAVORITE CHICKEN AGAIN, as I wouldn’t want to put their serving staff out, but when PERI PERI takes all your customers, you will have time to use the phone to call the...

Well what can I say.... The male that appears to own the franchise regularly goes outside for a cigarette, walks back in and continues to serve customers without observing any basic food handling practices. There's another employee who spends most of the time on his mobile, who's apron could possibly contain more bacteria than the pigeons outside. People drift in and out from the flats above, helping themselves from the hot shelf. Most importantly I saw no attempt to probe cooked chicken temperature, poor hygiene practices and no control between food preparation areas.

Extremely slow delivery, an hour to deliver to an address you could walk in twenty minutes. Had to call the restaurant which took three attempts to answer, then you get passed around staff and each one you've got to explain again what's happening. Not impressed and it's a Tuesday night not even a busy time of the week. Shocking. I'd order food when you're not hungry as it'll get delivered when you will be hungry takes that long.
