KFC Sheerness - Thomsett Way — Restaurant in Borough of Swale

I have to say, I’ve never seen such a filthy restaurant. And I don’t mean from being dirty from a busy period. The floor is disgusting , especially around edges of walls, tables etc. The restaurant had the same sauce all over bench and chicken bones on window ledge that were there the evening before! We only came in the second time due to location but definitely never again! Every table was dirty. They’ve not even bothered to vacuum the entrance mat in what looks like months. There is absolutely no excuse for poor (or in this case) non existant hygiene. There wasn’t even anyone else in the place and car park was empty. How long would it take to wipe down a couple of tables and have even a quick sweep up? Trust me, even that would have made a difference. They also had no hot drinks (again). Was barely any condiments and they can not afford any toilet roll or hand soap. It’s obvious the people running this have just given up/gone skint and are making very little effort ,waiting for the inevitable. The state of the exterior and car park says enough. First I should say that the food itself was very good. The chicken was tender and the batter was everything you would expect from KFC. We were impressed by their vegetarian/vegan options (one of our group had veganism and she seemed to really enjoy the vegan burger). The restaurant in Sheerness is very bright owing to the panoramic windows, which sets a nice tone. There is a cage separator acting as a central wall which I thought might have been a homage to the prison, but it could have just been accidental - it works though. The reason I've given 3 stars and not 5 is because the tables were not wiped clean (my young 6 month old immediately started putting his hands on them, so we had to be very fast with cleaning his hands before they went into his mouth). The other reason is that the ordering machine we used told us we needed a table number sign which we later learned by asking that we didn't. It may seem like a small thing but when ordering KFC you only want to be thinking about food/chicken, and don't need any unnecessary distractions. But yes, please increase the table cleaning and I'm happy to increase...

Went to this KFC on Saturday 17 November at 19.55 pm. I have never seen such a dirty, messy eating area in a KFC store. Every where was rubbish on the grease covered floor. Every table was dirty. After we got our meal we had to ask for a table to be wiped down which was done with a greasy dirty cloth. We had to wipe it ourselves using the lemon wet wipes and tissues to get it clean. The fries had to be sent back twice as they where disgusting to eat. When a member of staff was asked why the place was so dirty the reply was, I haven't had time and then he proceeded closing one half of the seating area and disappeared. No action was taken by any member of staff to clean any part of the restaurant God knows what it must be like where they prepare the food All I can say to other members of the public is stay away from this KFC it's discusting and the people who work in there should change their attitude and smarten themselves up.
