Read the following on a Craft Union website....what a load of old bo**ocks! The Red Lion was once a friendly pub full of locals but since it's recent take over it gives the impression that no one cares, even the locals have recently deserted it.

We believe pubs play a vital role in the lives of their customers and we are committed to nurturing this. We stand shoulder to shoulder with our publicans, supporting them as they practice their craft of running outstanding pubs. For us, they are our local heroes.
There is a pool table in the back area but unfortunately young children are left to crawl around on it and the kick the balls about, why would anyone want to play on it after that treatment!
Come on Craft Union.......put someone in charge who can communicate well with their customers and not run this once wonderful pub...

Was asked to do a favour and provide first aid training, even though unwell and under investigation for numerous medical issues. Worked out a good discount, for them to then cancel 2 days before training commenced. Issued with invoice for out of pocket expenses for Cheryl & Carl to then slag me off to their customers. 6 weeks on, they still haven't paid their invoice or attempted to contact me. Very Poor Behaiour !

I always go for a 'kid's' roast as portions are very generous! 2 roast lamb and 2 gammon roasts were all polished off and followed up by the best homemade Gypsy Tart ever, a hot chocolate fudge cake and my grandson had his favourite pud-ice cream with toffee sauce.
