Swell Cafe. — Restaurant in Borough of Swale

I've seen multiple positive reviews on Google Maps about this café which is why i rated it 2 star instead of 1. I went in here yesterday with my nan and dad. Blimy, I've never seen such a run down cafe. We ordered a milkshake, they bought us out a shop bought Yazoo shake they got out of the fridge. We even had to ask for a glass, as they didn't offer one. They got the Yazoo milkshake out of the fridge, in the shop bought condition, and put it on our table. The other drink we ordered was an apple juice for my nan, not in a glass, it came out in a plastic beaker. The cafe gave a distinct run down appearance. The menus looked tatty. Didn't try the food but with the look of the place, i don't think I'd want to. I know the 'don't judge a book by its cover' but with everything above, and the distinct lack of enthusiasm with the staff. Tip, there's a Starbucks...

Popped into Swell Café bright and early, and was greeted straight away with a warm smile – such a great start to the day. I ordered the Set 3 breakfast (minus the sausage) along with an orange juice, and everything was cooked to perfection.

I love their breakfast and coffee! the staff is always so friendly, helpful and accommodating! Service is very quick as well. While it's not the fanciest place, I have nothing negative to say, I've been very happy with my experience here every time along the years. Hopefully the pandemic won't stop us from coming back...
