Just been to Mimmos for a birthday meal and honestly one of the worst meals I’ve ever had ! The table had a little dip of thousands island on it and the carrots surrounding it were withered and going mouldy! Not a good start. We actually mentioned them twice in front of 2 different waiters and neither did anything about them. We were all freezing cold and even put our coats on and again total ignorance from the staff ! My starter of garlic mushrooms were awful as were totally dry and had no taste at all. The garlic breads were tasteless too. My friend put some aside on her napkin to eat with her lasagne and we were deep in conversation when a waiter stood next to her back tapping a side plate on the table! Which went on and on as we didn’t realise what he was doing at first and she hadn’t heard him. Once I said I think he wants your attention she turned around and he kind of slammed the side plate down indicating that he wanted her to put the garlic bread slice onto the side plate. Instead of being a polite waiter he was rude and bad mannered. Once our main courses came I asked for some tomato sauce as he was walking away as he never asked if any of us would like some condiments. He said no and looked horrified that I’d asked for it ! Very rude man. So I asked for some Parmesan and he did fetch that but it seemed he was most disgruntled I’d asked for anything! He never offered us any pepper either! The Bolognase was the worst I’ve ever had, Aldi do a much better microwave one! It was a tiny portion with hardly anything other than spaghetti in it ! It was hunt the meat ! And even with lots of Parmesan on it, it was tasteless. The lasagne wasn’t much better either and looked like a dogs dinner. I honestly have never had such a consistently bad meal as we all had. Looked appalling and tasted of nothing with poor portion size. The coldness of the restaurant was disgusting and the waiters were beyond rude and bad mannered. We were booked in for a 5:30 dinner and it was explained that they needed the table back at 7:15, changed at the last minute from 7:30 because our party had a wheelchair and that apparently meant more time was needed to put a chair back.
ANYWAY. Because we were a big party we were asked to preorder, which we did no problem. However on arrival we then sat waiting over 30minutes before the starters arrived so we were pretty much down to 1:15 hours to eat two pre booked courses.
At the end of the meal we were handed dessert menus and we ordered the children ice creams. As the waitress was coming to take the other dessert orders another waiter came over. Grabbing the menus from our hands saying “no! You need to leave”. It was so rude and so abrupt I was in shock, I think the waitress was too.
I understand that we had a time slot but that was NOT the way to handle it! We left the restaurant as quickly as we could, especially as we now had two crying children who had just ordered ice cream to be told they now weren’t having it.
As we were leaving the other table were waiting by the door for us to leave so it was pretty chaotic.
I understand restaurants like to turn tables, but maybe in future don’t book so close together and maybe if you are giving tables a tight timescale, don’t take 30 minutes to serve pre...

We arrived around 20.29 only to be told that our table had been given away and could we come back at 21.00. At first we all thought the chap was joking, but turns out he was deadly serious. I was so shocked that you can book a table only for it to mean nothing. We was very fortunate the customers family of 3 that taken our table kindly gave it back to us because they heard us moaning. The man that worked at your restaurant wasn’t prepared to anything it was awful customer service. I’m not sure of his name but later in the night he said he was getting a flight back to Italy in a few hours. So this information should help identify the individual. Shame he didn’t go sooner in my eyes.
Anyway we eventually got our table around 20.30 and after ordering our starters they didn’t arrive until 21.30 which I find very excessive to wait nearly an hour for our starters. When my main arrived it was the wrong ingredients on my pizza so that had to go back. We spoke to some of the waiters about the service we had received and they didn’t seem that bothered or offered any apology.
