Scotch Bakery — Restaurant in Borough of Wyre

Customer service absolutely outrageous!!!! 😡😡 Three staff were present, with us being the only customers in there at the time. The staff looked at us and acted like it was a big inconvenience us coming into the bakery. From start to finish the overall impression of the lady serving us was she couldn't be bothered, they all continued their personal conversation throughout serving us, even during table service, which I find so rude. Then to top it off, an elderly lady then came into the shop asking about her order, and a large one at that!! All three staff were stood sniggering and making remarks about the lady, and skitting the lady. Once the lady left they were stood talking about her, about how she comes in everyday asking the same things ect I had to make a comment as I thought this was disgusting especially Infront of your customers! Maybe the elderly lady has memory problems?? But you disregarded this and continued slating the poor lady that brings custom to you, keeping you in a job. We ended up taking our hot drinks as takeaway as could not stand to stay in that shop any longer. Learn some...

Will not return. My sandwich was made with bare hands, which would have been acceptable… however the lady preparing my food had just handled cash from the previous customer and then continued to make my order, picking up the ingredients tomatoes etc with unwashed hands. This establishment needs to have a regimen in place where staff who collect cash with bare hands do not prepare food. I should have told them to ‘Keep’ their sandwich…. I however just threw it in the bin. I’m sure it would have been very tasty, but hygene in my opinion...

First time here toady so treated my husband to a Vanilla Slice, they were taken from behind the counter so I wasn't able to choose and didn't get a choice to view them, unfortunately when I got home with them the pastry is burnt, not only does it look burnt but tastes really burnt, so disappointed as we were really looking forward to them 😔 the assistant wasn't the friendliest however she was on her own so maybe a bit stressed ?
