The first thing I should say is that if you call it 'dessert' and not 'pudding' then this is probably not the place for you, however, that said we would highly recommend trying this place for good quality no frills pub grub, if you want a decent meal at a decent price then give it a go. The place has an old fashioned charm about it that appealed to us, the original layout has been kept and not thankfully turned into a gastro-pub, it offers a small but varied pub style menu at what we think are reasonable prices. We had the Sunday special which consists of 2 roast dinners and 2 drinks for £25, as you should be able to see from the photo there was a lot on the plate and it was delicious. The staff seemed friendly and the atmosphere was quiet, there is music but played at a level where you can chat without shouting (which is a nice change). Overall we would recommend visiting and trying it out, we will definitely be returning soon.

Nice little dog friendly pub in the heart of Fleetwood. Good selection of drinks, and food. Chips were a little disappointing, as menu says they are done in beef dripping (can be done in veg oil) so was expecting really good chips, but for me they were too hard, the fish was great (as you would expect in Fleetwood), and my partner said her steak pie was good, nice atmosphere, friendly people in there, all in all a good place to visit, but for me lost a star for the chips.

Food was very nice. Only thing is there weren’t enough chips, and the small amount was covered by the fish. Food was still so nice, with delicious and unique dishes. The Eton mess desert was delicious too. I recommend eating here. The only photo I had of that was with me so I edited myself out and the pic is bad.

Service was really poor when I visited on a very busy Saturday lunchtime when there was clearly far too few staff on duty. I sat outside at one of their picnic tables with my pint of ale. At one point, i went to the toilet and when I returned my glass, which had still contained about a third of a pint, was gone. A customer, who was sitting at the other side of my table, told me that the pot man had just taken it away. At the bar i ordered and paid for haddock and chips for lunch and was told it would take about an hour. When the food finally arrived there was no cutlery and when I asked for a knife and fork the girl said the cutlery was inside the pub. I said "Do I have to get it myself?" Despite being disabled and with my crutch clearly propped up next to me, she said, quite curtly, "I'm too busy." So i went inside, couldn't find a cutlery station, and resorted to taking a knife and fork from another table. On the plus side, the cask ale was very good. The...

Called in today for lunch having, like many people I'm sure, driven past many times, thinking it looked like a big old fashioned pub,and not stopping. However, after reading some reviews from people who had been pleasantly surprised,we decided to give it a go, really glad we did! My sister had the steak pie, which was full of lovely steak and gravy,on an excellent light and crispy pastry, served with mash, gravy and peas, I had the Cumberland sausage(glutton I know!) 3 lovely sausages, with mash,I had the mustard mash option, good gravy and peas. Nice normal food, not faffed about with and artistic, just well cooked and presented and great value for money. The place itself was clean and welcoming, and the lady who served us was cheerful and friendly, all in all a great experience and one we shall be...
