Service was really poor when I visited on a very busy Saturday lunchtime when there was clearly far too few staff on duty. I sat outside at one of their picnic tables with my pint of ale. At one point, i went to the toilet and when I returned my glass, which had still contained about a third of a pint, was gone. A customer, who was sitting at the other side of my table, told me that the pot man had just taken it away. At the bar i ordered and paid for haddock and chips for lunch and was told it would take about an hour. When the food finally arrived there was no cutlery and when I asked for a knife and fork the girl said the cutlery was inside the pub. I said "Do I have to get it myself?" Despite being disabled and with my crutch clearly propped up next to me, she said, quite curtly, "I'm too busy." So i went inside, couldn't find a cutlery station, and resorted to taking a knife and fork from another table. On the plus side, the cask ale was very good. The food was ok.
