I dont normaly write bad reviews unless i have to but i was saddend by todays incounter we went to visit today on holiday from dorset we walked up where there was a older man in red waiting at the top of the door steps we kindly asked him if the museum was dog freindly his reply was ill go and check we waited for him to return with a awnser few miniutes later he came back stood on top of the stairs and ignored us waiting for a reply he totaly blanked us like we where not there we then kindly asked him if we where allowed in and he again ignored us and continued to just stare at us without saying a word we talked amongst ourselfs but decided not to go in as the man at the entrence put us off from going in we then went and spent our money elsewhere We only asked a simple question it did not matter if the dogs where not allowed we would take it in turns to go into the museum without the dogs but the way we where treated made us as a group of...

We visited for the first time, yesterday. We've always visited Fleetwood in the closed season before. What a wonderful place! I was so impressed with the amount of information and memorabilia we could see. The volunteers were so friendly and helpful too, even the Punch and Judy guy who heard me ask if the show was over and arranged an impromptu appearance of his crocodile puppet around the closed curtain and snapping his jaws at us. Very funny. It was so refreshing to see visitors of such a wide cross section of age ranges. It's a place I would definitely revisit as there is so much to read and you cannot help but miss some of the material there. I'm in awe of this place, with so many plans for progression in a world where everyone is having to make its pennies stretch further. Well done guys! You're a credit to us all! I had such an...

A beautiful little museum and at £4 per adult and child entry is free. Wonderful displays full of amazing and interesting facts about Fleetwood. The fisherman's friend was a lovely addition and my husband loved that biy. The lovely staff are so friendly and knowledgeable and are always around to lend a hand or even give you some interesting facts. We were taken out to the huge boat Harriet to have a wonderful formative talk. The gentleman that took us down had outstanding knowledge and couldn't have done more to help. The cafe was great value for money tea for two and a cake off our choice for £7 was amazing value. A lovely settl g slightly cramped on busy days but we managed to grab a table. Highly recommended place to see...

The Fleetwood Museum is a charming and informative small museum located in the coastal town of Fleetwood, Lancashire. Housed in the old Customs House, the museum offers a fascinating insight into the town's maritime history, fishing industry, and shipbuilding heritage. The exhibits are well-curated, featuring a range of artifacts, including model ships, fishing equipment, and local memorabilia. Visitors can also learn about Fleetwood's role in World War II and its Victorian seaside past. The museum is perfect for history buffs or anyone looking to explore Fleetwood's unique story in a cozy, welcoming environment. Friendly staff and beautiful harbor views make it an enjoyable stop for visitors of all ages.

Top quality authentic Museum explains history of this towns journey from port to Scotland and isle of man. Northern Euston hotel in town marks Northern limit of rail from it's counter named London station. Once a huge fishing fleet brought fresh produce to the whole country by rail at 0430 each morning. Before the Shap pass was conquered this was the route to Northern Ireland and Scotland. Excellent centre, motivated staff and coffee shop. An easy two hour visit and worth every penny.. Exhibits and history of Fishermen's Freind cough tablet included. Of interest to radio hams. Several Marconi radio systems are on display in the boathouse

£3 per adult was a bargain price to pay for what this Museum had to offer. A real hidden gem and just a nice and interesting place to walk around. The Smack boat in the shed out the back was a real privilege to see and well worth a look. The volunteers were lovely and very enthusiastic. Plenty of costumes to try on and the gift shop was well priced. My favourite was the Fisherman's Friend exhibition and seeing the original artefacts inside there. The cafe seemed very good, although it was a bit too warm in there today sadly. If that's the only drawback then it shows you how good this little place is.
