DIABOLICAL FOOD, DISGRACEFUL SERVICE, STAFF THAT CHARGE YOU FOR THINGS YOU PAID FOR THEN SAY YOU DIDNT AND CHARGE YOU AGAIN, THEN YOU GET ATTITUDE FROM STAFF WHEN YOU COMPLAIN, HORRIBLE PLACE IF YOU WANT A NICE MEAL AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE The peppercorn sauce hardly touches the bottom of the serving dish @ £3 for the privilege, the chicken was like rubber, chips reheated, lettuce going brown on edges WHICH WAS ADVERTISED WITH EGG AND PINEAPPLE BUT YET NO PINEAPPLE AND NO EGG AT ALL STAFF AINT INTERESTED COMPLAINT GONE IN TO GREENE KING PUBS SHOULD NOT BE RUN LIKE THIS AT ALL

One nightmare pub hopefully after my formal complaint to greene king hopefully thing will change but cant see it i have also reported them to trading standards after finding out i was charged twice for 2x peppercorn sauce after working it out fully

Never been a fan of the Crown but I thought new image now a Greene King give it a go its got to have improved Off to a shaky start the girl behind the bars first words were be with you in a minute I don't know how to make this drink (a gin pitcher of some description} Asked for a pint off hop house 13 lager it was virtually flat in this day and age its inexcusable to serve lager in a glass without a sparkler in the bottom they've only been about for 15 to 20 years now to the food the girl behind the bar got the order wrong had to get that sorted by another member of staff still ended up getting the burger I wanted wrong (bar staff not the kitchen) but I ate it grilled chicken COLD cheese slice on top not even attempting to flash it under s grill and 2 miniscule rashers of bacon & chips that were at the best edible, onion rings that were furry and missing half the main ingredient namely onion Sorry but not a great experience lose the useless girl who not only totally messed up the food order but also rudely told my wife they only served hop house 13 in bottles even though I'd already had a pint of it and my wife was stood in front of the pump but to try and say something positive keep the young lad who was serving both behind the bar and the food he's a credit to the team and was pleasant and genuinely concerned when we complained offered a free pudding to compensate but we'd had enough Would I go again not even if it was free food & beer I didn't think my opinion could get any worse however congratulations today...

Been here a few times. The drinks are decent tbf. Good choice. Staff are nice. The biggest issue is the food. Had food here 5 or 6 times now and can probably say it’s only been decent once. There’s always something we want that they don’t have. Came recently on a Saturday afternoon to do the offer on the small plates, of which 3 of the plates weren’t available. When it did come, one dish had stale bread so sent it back. Previously we’ve had nachos and it’s come with no sour cream. When asking for more we were told they didn’t have any left. Would have loved to have known this before we ordered. The nachos weren’t even nice. Very little consistency. Occasionally dishes come with something like tomatoes then you can have it again and it won’t come with it. One of the worst green king pubs I’ve been to. I love coming here for drinks and watching the football but the biggest thing wrong with the pub (which I understand isn’t their fault) is the regulars. Or in particular one regular who always has an issue with the football being on or something personal. Not going to lie, will probably stop coming because I don’t enjoy coming here anymore because of that and certainly will not be ordering the food from here again. The only reason I’ve ordered food so many times is because I think it’s got to be better this time. But it never improves. The quiz is normally good but will unlikely come back. Depends what you want from a green...
