Morrisons Cafe — Restaurant in Bradford

I have to say I think there are more bad points than good about this cafe - a few positive points - good opening hours, pleanty of seating capacity, & can be nice selection of sandwiches & cakes - although tends to depend on time of day you go, certainly in the evenings can be mediocre & look picked through & drinks machines tend to be empty quite a lot meaning you often have to opt for something else. The staff can be inattentive & often aren't at the till when you are needing to be served or where they can see you - most tend to be in kitchen where till cannot be seen & no one popping out now & again to look for customers. Cutlery could be cleaner & often long time waiting for food to arrive - once when I was there, after waiting 20 minutes of a meal, I enquired & was told I should have put my number sign up - the guy on the till hadn't given me a number sign! I then had to wait another 20 minutes for meal to arrive - it seemed obvious to me they didn't know I was waiting for anything until I spoke up first time - I spoke to manager & got refund but no real apology, so not been in a lot since - but the other day I ordered an All day breakfast - it would have certainly won the prize for the most disgusting one I have ever tasted! I find Morrisons is such a good store in a lot of ways but its cafe really does need...

It's a beautiful place to sit and have a coffee or something to eat, the staff are friendly but are not on the checkout tills often, once I was waiting for 10 to 15 minutes even when I called them, but they are short staffed and I could wait. Otherwise a great place to chill out, could be more enclosed though, I feel the design of the walls separating the café from the supermarket section could be a little better, see through glass when I'm eating isn't my thing.

29th August update. The place has really gone downhill, the food took 45 mins to arrive and it was absolutely ridiculous. Pie was crumbling apart, chicken nuggets were cold, the chips were warm but was hard like they had been sitting under a heatlamp for ages, very unhappy with the food today, coffee machines were only producing hot chocolate and at best it was watery. But still the staff have worked hard but doesn't give the excuse to serve bad food

23rd march 2025 no change on quality of food, or change of quality of drinks, machines stay un tended to, maybe because there's an unlimited coffee deal on, but I've seen 2 staff members walking straight past the machines now and all is needed is milk...

Saturday afternoon and we were a little hungry so we decided to grab some lunch. A portion of chips and a mighty breakfast. We used the self service mcdonalds style screen to order our food. Not the experience we had before. The cream cheese and herb dip we ordered on the screen turns out they don't stock. Hash browns were cold, Beans had a thick skin on - I dare say been hanging round a bit. The black pudding was cold, scrambled eggs were cold and very dry, but the Bacon, Sausage and fried bread were all fine. We only waited about 15 mins which isn't bad, but by the number of tables that needed clearing and the standard of food we guessed there was a staffing level problem.
