Really looking forward to taking my pregnant girlfriend as a treat as never been before. Spent over £20. The cup of tea was lovely and fresh however the afternoon teas have no choices available as they are set, they couldn’t tell you what sweets/cakes you would get with it, so she ordered an egg mayo salad sandwich for £4.45. When it arrived it was in thin brown bread not a bloomer as advertised and the salad consisted of slightly brown lettuce no fresh tomatoes or cucumber in sight. My girlfriend only managed half but decided to try a piece of the Freddo cake on display. The ice cream it came with was delicious however the cake itself was dry and tasted stale not like Cadbury Freddo chocolate at all and this cost £3.95. Needless to say she ate the ice cream but not the cake. Our first time and last time of coming here, such a shame as was really looking...

I used to genuinely love going to cake ole with my family. Loved the atmosphere and cakes. I ordered a naked Victoria sponge cake for my birthday, only to cut it and see no jam! I was absolutely gutted as I specifically requested Victoria sponge, with jam and spoke at length regarding the design of the cake, when I placed the order at the shop. I sent images and a lovely message on instagram to cake ole, quoting it may have been a genuine mistake. The response I received was, jam is not included unless requested, which I clearly did and was noted on the order. No apology or acknowledgement given, my message was ignored and no response was given. Truly gutted, as the owners are both genuinely lovely people, especially Richard. In future please take note of customers requests and a simple acknowledgment of being in the wrong would have been...

Cafe is decorated lovely and staff were friendly but that is where the positive review ends. We were really looking forward to our visit to Cake'Ole. We ordered afternoon tea for two @ £18. Four small sandwiches were average. The two scones were hard, dry and stale, my mum bakes so I know how a fresh scone should taste. 1 slice of cake on the top tier to share between us, 1 small rock hard bun and soggy biscuit. Really disappointed with the lack of quality, definitely not freshly baked. Would also be better if they accepted card payment. Will not...

I felt like I’d climbed inside a rainbow and somebody has opened a cafe in there! Super welcoming and attentive service - they take note of regulars and their preferred food/drink orders, ready to help without helicoptering too much. Standard cafe food with sandwiches (big, 3 slices of bread), paninis, soup and cakes. Great choice of hot drinks and soft drinks (flavoured lemonade, ice cream floats!) and just a general all round inclusive vibe.

As a fan of the cake ole in Skipton I had to come over to Keighley to visit. Lovely quirky decor which I was glad to see, especially liked the wellies on the table legs and the animals on the wall. I had a new pizzanini and a slice of the unicorn cake to take home which was fantastic. Will definitely be back to again, hopefully soon!
