5 stars does not do this restaurant justice. Everything about it is beyond perfect. Our waiter was hilarious, and the food was a symphony of texture and taste. The actual locale itself was drop dead gorgeous, and immaculately clean. Our waiter could have served our food by flinging it onto the floor and the floor would have gotten ill from MY germs. As a vegan, I was in paradise. Almost every item on the menu (including desserts) can be altered to a plant-based/ vegan diet. My vegan stomach was doing joyful summersaults at the sight of the wide selection of vegan starters, mains, sides and desserts. Just writing this review and thinking back on my experience, I am getting tearful. I must go back, I MUST. Good sirs and madams of Amici Ristorante, if you are reading this, my kidneys are yours, my liver is yours, my bone marrow is yours, I am willing to donate any of my organs to you as if you were my closest family. Just say the word, and I will lay down my very life for any one of you. My only regret of the night is not asking for our waiter's name, so that I could name my firstborn child after him. My starter was very thinly sliced calamari with lovely batter on but it was very small compared to what I have had before. My pasta was the worst i have ever had it was very thick and not pleasant, I did get some lovely king prawns in and a few small ones, the calamari as with first dish had not had the membrane removed so it was impossible to bite though until I removed it, they did offer to take it away and give me another one. Some had a pizza which the bottom was very wet and soggy, they did take it away but when it came back just the outside was burnt. The lasagna was ok and the garlic bread was nice that someone else had. There was a lot of bad swearing coming from the kitchen, not what you want to hear. All in all we were very disappointed. We have come here for years but now it has change hands things are not good and it showed with the lack of there customers in the on a Saturday night, before to would of been full but tonight only a few tables. Thank you for another wonderful meal on Valentine's Day! We have dined in the restaurant and also ordered delivery and every time, the food is delicious and beautifully cooked. On my most recent visit, I had dressed crab and prawn cocktail to start whilst my partner had his go-to; mozzarella Milanese (the sauce is divine). For mains, I had bistecca alla crema which was lovely and cooked rare (not blue or medium, just perfect) and the partner had Margherita pizza which he says was very nice and tasty.
