Rum-shack-a-lack — Restaurant in Bradford

I visited this place last week. From the second we got in the service was shocking. The woman serving us was so rude, demanding we pay before we’d even sat down at the table. She then stated that we need to pay in one payment which involved everyone organising funds (this took half an hour off our 2 hour reservation). Further to this she then said that the price had gone up so the brunch would now be £30 not £25 each, however, the price she gave us meant we all had to pay over £30 each? And why weren’t we told about the price change until we got there? Once we had paid we had to wait for her to come take our drink order. This took another 15 minutes and other tables also having bottomless brunch were served before us even though we were there first. The drinks were standard, some cocktails even tasting off & other drinks tasting like there was no alcohol in them at all. The food was also atrocious, for £30+ I expected a lot more. The salad was wilted and the chips were just mush which resulted in the whole party not eating it. Also as the service was so slow some of us only managed to fit 3/4 drinks in the 1 hour 15 minutes we had left. As a manager of a restaurant the staff need to learn to be more attentive and friendly and management need to keep an eye on the staff damaging their business. The worst experience at any bar/restaurant ive ever had....

To start booking, were asked if could dine at 7pm instead of 6pm there usually last table for a bottomless brunch. As City were playing at home. This was fine by the group. When arrived, they said they didn’t have a booking for that time. Looks like they squeezed us in! Absolutely appalled by the meal that was served, on our bottomless brunch yesterday. I had the chicken Parmesan, when it arrived it looked like a cheese pizza, my friends had the tacos. 2 minutes into the meal, I made a complaint. Neither of us could stomach another bite. The cheese just lifted off the chicken in one piece, it was tasteless. When spoke to a waitress to make a compliant. The excuse was the chef finished early, and had already prepared food. How can they prepare food when they don’t know what we are ordering?? When apologising asked if we would like a drink? We were on a bottomless brunch! 🙄 I have never complained about a meal before anywhere. Needless to say we will it be returning, and I will not be making recommendations.

I’d advise people not to book a bottomless brunch...

What a fantastic little bar you have! Personally feel like Bradford nights out have gone down hill a little bit but as soon as you walk in the door you don't feel like your in bradford. We came as a table of 9 originally however 3 were unable to make it, not a problem, no huffing and puffing, Shaz just moved the plates and crackers and advised the deposit for the 3 will be taken.... it is a deposit after all. The service was fantastic, it was like Shaz had eyes in the back of her head. As soon as your drink was empty, she was stood waiting to take your next order with a smile on her face and a joke or something funny to say. Food was better than expected from a bottomless brunch, nice sized portion and all for £30!! The drinks menu was brilliant, with there being so many of us and the drinks menu being so vast it was suitable to all of us. Thank you and your team for a fantastic brunch, we will...
