i don't even know where to start... i attended a party that was going on here with my friend. The toilets were grim. as soon as i walked in flies and midges smacked me in the face. it felt dirty. It smelt dirty. The end toilet in the ladies was blocked. Hardly any toilet roll. a few of the men who were using the male toilets i heard them complain and say that there was one of those fly catchers with around 3/400 flies on them. And to top it all off the bar man was using those toilets so it wasn't like he didn't know. The food was destroyed because of the flies that were all over. The bar in the back room was sticky and grimy probably with last weeks beer on no doubt. The floor was filthy. Looked as though it has never seen a mop in its whole life. Tables were sticky like they hadn't been wiped in a while. Now i'm not one to body shame or bring a girl down in what they are wearing but having worked as a barmaid myself for over a year ,i know that you should dress appropriately. Not with practically everything on show. Especially not where there are young children around. which i seen in the other room there were a few in there too as well as in the back room. I can't say that is the first time i've noticed the skimpy clothing as i noticed it at a different function i attended earlier on in the year.
I can't say that i will be rushing back anytime soon or...
Read moreWell what can I say. We went in late afternoon, one person was sat at the bar, bar man's mate by the looks of it. Ordered our drinks and sat down. My husband went to the loo said it wasn't great, unclean and didn't smell great. I needed the loo so off I went, well what can I say, they hadn't been cleaned, only one cubical had just enough toilet roll in there so I used it. I told the bar man that there was no toilet roll at all in the ladies, his response, yea I know, I've asked a member of staff to bring some in. Another couple came in. The lady went to the toilet came back out asking for some loo roll, again the bar man's response was the same, the lady and the bar man exchanged words, him saying it's not his fault, 🤷🏼♀️ he didn't seem to care either. My husband got up went to the gents and came out with a near full loo roll from the gents toilets, giving it to the woman. Definitely won't be rushing back, shame as it could be a really nice pub if given some TLC and if they had staff, management who actually cared about the place and...
Read moreA recently reopened local pub that is very local to us. It's a typical old style type stone built building. Traditional design inside, not fancy, but comfortable, warm, and clean. The toilet area I used was clean and fresh. There is an ample room for games, pool, darts, etc. Karaoke was fun and welcoming to anyone 😀 DJ being open for good fun and banter. A few great evenings there. Cannot rate the food aspect as I'm unaware whether they actually serve food at the moment anyway. Families are welcome, so it's a great place to spend a few hours...
