Braintree Cafe — Restaurant in Braintree

How can a cafe not even get sausage & chips right. The sausages has a fragrent perfume taste , I'm not sure how and the chips un-eadable, tasted of old oil and were wadded in greese., I was completely put off by the washed out Mao botel used for ketchup and vinagar in a old olive oil bottle with dried brown sauce up the side , I used the brown sauce as seemed to be the only one in its container but wasn't brown sauce was awful. We left our meals after only a temping a small amount. Since returning home my son ( who ate the chips ) has had upset stomach, I'm not sure how this place has a hygiene rating at all as its cleery not good unfortunately. The positive us the staff...

Absolutely awful food if you can call it food!! Chips were under cooked, chicken Kebab was watery bland deffo frozen and undercooked. Steak was as tough as an old shoe and swimming in juice with zero flavour. The sausage egg baguette, the egg was like rubber the sausage was the worst I've ever had and overcooked and the butter tasted rancid it had definitely been left out and gone really bad. We recently visited Braintree Café and had an amazing experience! 🥞☕ The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, and the coffee was just perfect—a great way to start the day. Next time, we’re definitely coming back to try their English breakfast! 🍳🥓
