Coffee House In the Gardens — Restaurant in Braintree

I stopped here for lunch... an all day breakfast... yes please! It was lovely and as I didn't have the kids with me I decided to pair it with chocolate Milkshake (no sharing issues this time!) Food was good, quite a lot of beans in the cup, but I liked it - and being presented in the cup was a bit different! Only improvement I would suggest is an extra slice of toast with the larger breakfast as the one slice wasn't quite enough! Service was OK and the atmosphere OK as well - I guess if it had been warmer I might have sat outside and admired the garden... perhaps...

Nice place for a cup of coffee, they even serve expresso coffee correctly, namely with a glass of water to clear the pallete,, a rare occurrence in the UK. Even better it is a decent quality coffee, which is a definite improvement on the big name suppliers of coffee in the town centre. The scones here passed my other Half's exacting standards for such things (believe me that is impressive) it is well worth the effort of walking to the public gardens to visit this...

I removed my previous review as I reviewed on my expectations rather than the food on the menu. Have been with a friend this morning for an English breakfast and wasn’t disappointed. The food I had was delicious and plentiful. The young lady serving was as always very pleasant and our food was piping hot.
