Yumy — Restaurant in Braintree

Had a delivery yesterday, ordered for 12.40pm, and was delivered an hour early. This shouldn’t have been a problem if they were both cold baguettes, but one of them was a hot baguette; however both were delicious and cannot be faulted. It was tempting to give a lower score as our drinks were literally undrinkable, I’ve never had a hot chocolate with marshmallows taste so sweet that it made me ill. Our other drink was a caramel/ hazelnut latte which tasted like half the cup was syrup and the rest with a tang of coffee and milk. They may have tasted better if they arrived hot, however, they were just under lukewarm and we had to chug it down to attempt to enjoy them; which obviously we couldn’t finish due to how much sugar was inside.

I will just add that the delivery driver was very polite and friendly, thank you.

Overall, the experience could’ve been a lot better. It may be a different story once lockdown has ended and the cafe is open, but for the moment, I really wouldn’t...

I recently used Yumy Café for a private catering event and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The portions were absolutely huge and packed with flavour — our guests couldn’t stop talking about how delicious everything was! This really is a smashing place, atmosphere fantastic,food is wow,!!!! still serving takeaways and home deliverys,coffees are fantastic,all of this right threw the ways things are at the moment ,all of them with big smiles on there faces and carrying on what they do best,which is the best food and drinks ever,so glad and I thank the staff as through these times I have been able to still get my lattes,glad they stayed open ,and I saw the lady owner feed a dog ham outside so anyone that loves animals ,gets my vote and shows they are good people,and you can see that they care so much about the cafe which is spotless and beautifully decorated, lovely family run business,try it,!give it a go!them coffees make a difference, as I love your lattes.thankyou to you all for the best service ever....
