A Big McMistake!

I recently had the misfortune of visiting my local McDonald's, and let me just say, it was an experience I won't soon forget—no matter how hard I try. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the smell of deep-fried dreams and regret.

First, the service. Oh, the service! I’ve seen glaciers move faster than the line at McDonald's. By the time I got to the counter, I felt like I’d aged a few years. The staff looked like they had just returned from a war zone, their faces a mix of confusion and exhaustion. My order was taken by someone who seemed genuinely surprised that customers were actually there to order food.

Now, let's talk about the food. My Big Mac looked like it had been assembled by someone playing Jenga blindfolded. The patties were so thin I wasn't sure if I was eating a burger or just a warm salad with bonus bread. And the fries—oh, the fries! They were colder than my ex's heart and just as salty.

The highlight of my meal was the soda, which was the only thing that met my expectations: it was wet. Bravo, McDonald's. You've nailed hydration.

The ambiance of the restaurant was a delightful mix of sticky tables, screaming children, and a soundtrack of beeping fryers and broken dreams. It felt like a dystopian future where the only sustenance left is mediocre fast food.

Overall, my trip to McDonald's was an unforgettable journey into the depths of culinary despair. Would I go back? Only if I was desperately in need of napkins and everywhere else within a 10-mile radius had spontaneously combusted. Two stars, because hey, at least they got the order...

I can't say much about the drive-thru or dine-in experience as this place is rather out of my way and a long trek to get to on foot, so nearly all of my experiences here are based on their delivery service, offered through Just Eat, Deliveroo, Uber Eats or their own McDonald's phone app, depending on the year and such.

As a couple of other reviews have said, the delivery service here is absolutely shocking, not to mention that the delivery fee of £4 (on their app) is steep, especially considering that the KFC next door is like 80p or something and even with a £1 service charge, is still less than half the cost for McDonald's.

Now, I have nothing against the delivery drivers themselves for the most part, with my only gripe being that sometimes I only receive half a cup of coffee, with the rest being soaked into the bag, but that's what I'd consider minor compared to my more serious complaints:

Out of my last 6 or so orders, nothing has been exactly as it was ordered: Added bacon for 50p? Missing. On multiple occasions. Paid 50p or £1 for extra sauce packets? No sauce packets in the order. Remove tomatoes because I'm intolerant? Tomatoes in my burgers.

Now, this last point is massive. Thankfully, I'm not allergic, but can you imagine!?

You specifically ask for the removal of a certain item, due to a potential allergy, only to take a huge bite out of your burger/wrap and find that the item is still there?

That might not end well at all.

I would give it 1-star for that on it's own, but it gets a 2-star because the food usually arrives very quickly...

This has happened on 18th of September 19:30-20:00. I have ordered customised Big Mac, where I have added some extra sauce ,onions, cheese and bacon. It was quite busy, everyone could hear a manager/supervisor, screaming inside of the kitchen how everything wrong was at the time. I did get my big Mac with the portion of chips and mid choch shake ! After eating second and the third, I opened the box of Big Mac, where I was about to see an unpleasant surprise !

On top of the burger, there was beef patty, slice of cheese, and some lettuce !

It looked extremely appealing, and I felt like someone just took a piss out of me !

After addressing the issue to the staff, this was quickly rectified, however to a standard Big Mac !

After showing the ticket with changes, poor guy was making one second time !

However that doesn't change the fact that the gesture which has been showed by the kitchen first time, shows that they deeply don't care to your customisation of the meal, moreover the kitchen staff just expressed their ignorance and lack of respect to the guest which has paid it's money, just to be served a "clown" burger !
