This used to be THE place to come for your our of town retail therapy however it really has changed over the last 15 years, some for the good and some not so. There have been some really fantastic shops come send go here and I'm certain most visitors will have had at least 1 shop they loved and has gone by the wayside way before covid19 hit. That being said it is ever evolving but it seems to want to attract the higher end of the market with Ralph etc but let's face it, most people would rather still have Next Choices there instead.

Some of the shops like Cadburys sell their produce there dearer than on the High Street so not really pulling your average customer in.

There really is a massive diverse range of outlets here from Sports Direct to M&S, perfumes clothing jewellery and coffee to mention just a few of the large variety on offer. This along with the food outlets, the free very ample parking spaces including disabled parking spaces and parent and child parking spaces too, a train station along with a free bus from Braintree Town centre will make getting here and enjoying spending time shopping, drinking and eating out an enjoyable experience. The toilets here are always clean and replenished regularly and with onside staff including security your stay will be safe.

Be interesting to see how it will look in a few years time too as it really does seem to change it's look and feel every 6 months or so.

It only lost a star due to trying to attract money rather than the average Joe that would frequent an outlet facility...

I'm a guy in his mid 50s and lets face it not all guys like wandering around shops at the best of times, and I'm certainly one of those.

So for me this place is sort of okay to shop at. It does have a wide range of designer outlets if you are in to all the stuff, I'm more of a man from C&A than that sort of clothing so not overly impressed by them.

Anyway all the shops are within easy walking distance and you are now limited to up to 6 hours of free car parking ( surely that's more than enough! )

Staff in all the shops we visited were friendly and helpful, when you could get their attention as it can get busy especially at weekends and when the suns out.

Prices were similar to online ones so no real savings made, not like when it used to be Freeport - things were/seemed a lot cheaper than the main high street stores back then.

There are some good offers available though but I guess the art is trying to track them down.

It's about an hour's drive from where we live but it's worth it to try clothes on and see and feel things in the real world.

I just would like to see more stores their that cater for the over 40s as it's really aimed at the hip and trendy, also a nice small pub/bar wouldn't go a miss as I bet a lot of fellas wouldn't mind letting the ladies browse the stores whilst they sit and ponder life...
