Chris' Fish, Chicken & Ribs — Restaurant in Brentwood

Had the worst fish from this place yesterday. Ordered 2 large 8 oz cod which was undercooked and way too thin, think I was given small 5 oz.The batter was also undercooked and had none on the bottom of fish.Was dripping in fat and the worst cod I have had in quite a while. Chris sort your quality issues out as you were 1 of the best Had to request a refund from Deliveroo and throw in the bin. On a positive chips were nice UPDATED REVIEW:: Seems you don’t like any negative honest reviews. Picture says it all to be honest as does your follow up feedback. Your quality has gone downhill over the last 6 months. I am a local resident and I’m not the only person who has noticed your lack of quality or passion.A few others I know have also complained and 1 of those people actually called you and brought food back to your shop for a refund.You tried making excuses then and only after an argument did you refund. Probably good I didn’t come into your shop as there could have been a problem that wouldn’t have ended well.Instead of making excuses maybe try and improve your standards to pre lockdown as you were 1 of the best. 2021 Just seen a handful of bad reviews(really)so would like to add to my review, of a year ago, below.

Always fantastic quality, fresh and hot plus great customer service from Chris and his staff.

If you order via Uber they add to the price so order direct ...yes sometimes it is hard to get through because they are always busy but that tells its own story.

I am 70 and always have a home delivery which is almost always on time.

You have tried the rest now go to the best(and no I am not related to the owner just a very satisfied customer
